Win - the only answer.


By the way, the Michael Sam 'idea' is really, really, really, really, stupid. And the second isn't far behind.

Just Win. Saying to bring in someone just to get fans here, is similar to the concept of bringing in "that Florida native guy" to sell tickets. Ya, it may be nice for a few tickets, but if we start losing again(and who knows how this season will go)they have ZERO loyalty to our team, and will just leave. Winning will solve everything.

Thank god the offseason is almost over

I'm not interested in any gimmicks to attract fans.

 

The surest way, the best way, and for all intents and purposes the only way to attract fans is to win, win big, and win often.

 

I would like an offense as explosive as the '99 Rams and a defense as dominant as the '85 Bears, winning three times as many Super Bowls in a decade as those two combined.

As I said clearly the WINNING is the answer but in today's world marketing is key. And well the Jags are not very marketable. Also, what is wrong with bringing in a female coach is she is good enough to do so. Do you consider the Spurs a gimmick? 

 

And on the Sam topic if he never said he was gay he would have been drafter earlier. The guy should have waited till after the draft he shot his own foot.

You really have no idea what you are talking about.

Jaguars have never been least attended NFL team. The worst attendance year was in 2009 when we were 30th. Every other year we rank between 20 and 25. The smallest fan base is related to TV market based on TV ratings/ranking market size. Even there we still are 30(Jax 47th, Buffalo 51, and GB 70) When we start winning and going to playoffs we will sell out stadium and all this talk will go away.

Jacksonville + London = smallest fanbase? Who knew!

Oh my word. As someone up there ^ said, winning is the only solution, but I don't necessarily believe we have a problem.

Win and more winning.  A high profile QB will help as well.  No gimmicks.  Did you ever look at the marketing deck from the state of the Jaguars for 2014 and 2015?  It shows how strong the "small fanbase" is compared to other cities.  Is Jacksonville perfect?  Heck no but the small loyal fan base has put up with years and years of garbage.  That won't get mentioned by any media. 

Nothing wrong with a female coach on the staff if she is qualified and there is also nothing wrong with search for a qualified female coaching candidate. Spurs such a terribly ran organization can you believe they looked for a female coach? 

I think the Jags should acquire a monkey and put him in pads.  That might draw some new fans from the PETA crowd.

Of course there's nothing wrong with a female coach, like you said the Spurs summer league thingie are playing great. I don't know that there's a lot of candidates in the football world though.

Also for not believing me here is an item saying Sam was projected higher until he came out of the closet CBS drops Sam's Projection

But in my opinion Sam is not an NFL player mainly because his attitude. Been nothing but a cry baby since that draft.

Just an FYI the swimming pools are gimmicks
