Yep, he's done. From the looks of things, she pretty much instigated it, but you have to have self control in that situation.
Pretty brutal.

I just read the post above this...how did she instigate it?  Did you watch the video?

Edit:  He was trying to butt past her, not uncommon in a bar and the chick got mad she was getting pushed.  She sort of had the right to.  When she started saying something he locked both of her arms up....she swung and he decided to throw a right cross.

She isn't perfect in this situation, but he is the one who made it physical first.

He's done at FSU. What a moron.

Yes, I watched it. Probably four times.

He's trying to wedge between the girl he hit and the girl that was to his left. The girl he hit wouldn't let him through and starts saying stuff to him and then turns around to him with a clinched fist and when he grabs her, she knees him and then attempts to throw a punch, and then he hits her. Unless you think him trying to get to the bar constitutes as "making it physical."

On his way there he bumps her and she starts talking trash. I think her throwing the punch is in response to him locking her arms down.

She's as big an idiot as he is. How she wasn't charged with anything is beyond me. I would have said it's pretty close to even at whose fault it really is.
Another notch on the belt for equality.

Let me be clear.  I don't believe you should ever hit a woman, and I think this dude should get punished.  However, that doesn't make sense if you believe in true equality between sexes.  If you replace this lady with a man, this is a non-issue.  Almost no one would find him at fault for retaliation, or misappropriate her actions as self defense.  Everyone wants equality until it doesn't fit their world view.

If I was this dude, I would say I'm transgender, so it's ok. (/sarcasm, but it wouldn't surprise me if that actually worked).

If someone has a problem getting bumped at the bar, then they have no business in a nightclub.

Balling  your fist at someone in a threatening manner is assault. His grabbing her arm was a response to that threat and obviously it was a legitimate threat.

It never looks good when a guy punches a girl, but I think a halfway decent lawyer could get the charges dropped.
As a woman, I think if you're stupid enough to try to hit a man like that, you shouldn't shocked that you get hit back.
On mobile so I'm not smart enough to add the link to this post but Johnson was just removed from the FSU team

I agree with this.  The more I watch it the more I feel a little bit sorry for the kid.  She was the aggressor, but its pretty obvious he handled it completely wrong.

She was a drunk idiot, but that doesn't give him the right to become a bigger idiot.  He has to know who he is and that all his actions are going to have consequences.

At this point, it doesn't matter if old Jose Baez has it dropped or not....he's going to have to find a new school.
Why was he pushing his way to the bar to begin with? Getting a Shirley Temple? Hopefully they found his fake ID.

The girl may have cussed him out. Raised her hand? So? You deck her? The guy is obviously a Weiner boy. Showing his toughness by cold cocking some female at a bar. Bet if it was a dude, he woulda backed off.

Guy clearly had Ray Rice mentoring him.

Maybe he can try his luck in the Octagon..but he's probably missing some nads.

Back to the unemployment line for this poor, misunderstood youth. But wait...someone had the cash to retain lawyer Jose Biased Maybe we can hook this schmuck up with Casey Anthony.

Wait, did you watch the video?  I've sort of changed my view on the topic.  They are both completely at fault....and she should be charged to.

The girl initiated all the physical contact.  She raised her hands so his response was to push her hands down.  Her response to that was to swing at him and he swung back.  I'm not saying he should have swung at her (nor would I ever), but obviously different people have different levels of defending themselves.  I may not be comfortable with swinging like that at a girl, but apparently he was.  If she's ready to swing on anyone, she better be able to deal with the consequences.

Ok. You feel she deserved it and should be ready to deal with it. I don't think men hit women...with a clenched fist no less.

If he wasn't in a bar, underaged in a town where his predecessor got into a lot of trouble, and obviously pushing his way up to the bar, which agitated the woman it wouldn't have happened and he clearly has no concept of consequences.

But maybe if he eased up, said excuse me and bellied up to the bar she would have reacted the same. Ok.

Now he's claiming she used a racial slur and that's why he popped her. So what was the reason?

He deserved his removal from the team

Can you point out where I said she deserved it?  I simply said she was just as much an aggressor as he was.  Jesus people on here make a lot of stuff up.

I'm not an FSU fan, but its pretty obvious why you are saying the things you are.  You hate FSU so your view is slanted.  We all get it.

I also don't understand how not one guy came to that girls defense in the bar.  In a lot of cases a guy hits a girl and it doesn't matter how it happened, the only thing someone sees is a girl getting hit and pounce on the guy for hitting a girl.

Absolutely nothing happened.  The guy next to her obviously wanted no part of it...the bartenders kept serving drinks like it was just another night in the bar.  The only person that helped her was her friend.
