Umm... the filter did it's job for us.  That's why it's there.

 

Don't you think you're being a bit over dramatic?  Only with my 8 year old son have I had such a prolonged discussion of the meaning and usage of the word "never" (as in when he says he "never" gets to do something.)

 

Surely you can pick a more worthwhile battle than that.

 

Perhaps it's a lesson for all how ridiculous one has to be to keep defending this chump who could have and should have just walked away.

Whether he hit a man or a woman the issue should be the same. But our paternalistic society's condescending and disempowering stance towards women means that he will get more serious consequences than if he'd hit a man. After all equality is only important when it benefits the woman.

I was a witness to an incident at a bar due to a guy trying to talk to a girl and her friend taking exception to that. It began as a verbal confrontation, escalated when the friend dumped her pint of beer on his head and him returning the favor. It ended when the friend took the empty pint glass and smashed it in his face leaving him with a 3 inch shard of glass sticking out of his eye and a trip in an ambulance to the emergency room where they had to remove his eyeball.

 

This guy obviously underestimated the level of threat the girl posed.

 

The reality is that in these types of situations between strangers at a bar, there is no way to accurately gauge the actual threat level.

 

I am not condoning his actions or saying I would have reacted in the same manner, but I think it is naive to think that she didn't potential pose a significant threat had she gotten the opportunity to take another swing at him, especially if she had been able to get a hold of one of many types of objects that are often within hands reach on a bar.

 

There is no way to know to what level a stranger, man or woman, is willing to escalate a situation especially by a person that appeared to be overly aggitated by a situation that is quite normal in the confines of a crowded nightclub.

At least he owned it.

Actually, it is now confirmed. They aren't recruiting Johnson at all. They are after his younger brother. Johnson is just running his mouth. Time will tell. As a gator fan, I have no problem with it as long as there are contingencies. Has he kept himself clean? I'd require him to do work with women's groups. If he gets out of line once he is gone.

Interesting how they changed the wording here.  Did he acknowledge or not that he was being recruited by Florida?    Sentinel trying to drum up some drama!

Even if if this rumor was true, which it is not, Florida wouldn't be able to accept him as a transfer. Due to a violence policy from the SEC, no SEC team can accept Johnson into their program


They are recruiting his younger brother, who's a 5* CB in 2018 and his brother deandre Johnson came with him

What's really funny is the people on here defending him when he was at their school, now wanna look down their noses at him because they thought he was going to UF.
