Free Agency is just around the corner. Seems like the Jaguars are getting out in front with some cuts coming through.

  Arnold Strongman Classic
Posted by: americus 2.0 - 03-01-2024, 04:58 PM - Replies (1)

If you're interested it's on youtube on the Rogue Fitness channel. The first event was max deadlift and the women had a strong showing, no pun intended. The men had some amazing lifts with one making a weight never done before at this competition.

Favorites Martins Licis and Hafthor Bjornsson are back after taking a couple of seasons off. Licis is coming back from a back injury and Bjornsson retired in 2020 and was off learning about and training for a boxing match. He decided to do a Tom Brady and unretire.

The next event today is the timber carry. Tomorrow will see the Dinnie Stone Carry, Apollon Wheels, and the Stone Medley.

  Jax shark tickets

Anyone have tickets to the sharks looking at them online right now. Are they really as much as NFL tickets? I'm seeing single game tickets at $100 each?

Was thinking of a cheap offseason alternative but maybe we should be looking at jumbo shrimp tickets?

If Verse is there at 17 it would be hard to pass him up.  We would have our 3rd edge and 3 starting caliber edge defenders.

It worked out for the Giants, can't ever have to many pass rushers

  Four Options at #17
Posted by: NYC4jags - 02-27-2024, 10:53 PM - Replies (43)

Obviously there are more than four options - but what I'm asking for are your choices for four positions (or position groups) at the pick.

CB

OL

DT

WR

If the Jags select one of these positions, which player do your prefer at each?
(Please select a player that has a decent chance to actually be available based on current projection)

Did you know - RB edition
Posted by: JagFanatic24 - 02-27-2024, 07:37 AM - Replies (19)

The running back position is not known for having big numbers in the receiving game, but since 1995, the Jaguars have only had 1 RB go over the 100 yard receiving mark in a single-game.

Maurice Jones-Drew had 113 receiving yards vs the Vikings in 2008.

Here are franchise leaders for the top 5 most receiving yards by a RB in a single-game:

1. Jones-Drew - 113
2. Jones-Drew - 96
3. F. Taylor  - 95
4. Jones-Drew - 91
5. Jones-Drew - 87

Fred Taylor, Chris Ivory, and Maurice Jones-Drew hold the franchise record for receptions by a RB in a single-game, with 9 receptions.

The official salary cap for the next NFL season has been released. A whopping 255.4 million. A larger than expected jump.

Currently the Jaguars are setting at 24.6 million under the current cap number.
