if mac jones is the starting qb sunday,and wingard is playing jags will upset the Vikings. not because mac is better,but the team will get a different feel of energy from mac. he's a energized player,and is very fiery.

So I feel as if the season is pretty much over (dramatic I know)
With the hope that we get a new GM next year, who are popular opinions?
I must admit I’m limited with knowing about personnel but Ian Cunningham assistant gm from the bears is a name that looks good to me, done some work with Ozzie Newsome, has been part of the Bears rebuild, he pulled himself out of the running for Cardinals last year, but he seems to fit a lot of bills for me.

The Standings
Sorry for the delay, folks, been a busy week with house repairs. We're gradually seeing pickers separate, but everyone is tending to pick well. A surprise win by the tacks set a few of us back, but it's a new week with 4 games to pick from. It looks to be a challenging week for AFCS teams...who's gutsy enough to pick the upsets?
DET @ HOU: Just what the tinhorns needed, the Loins get to try out their new toy against a suspect pass blocking line. This should be a great prime-time matchup if Stroud and co. can keep pace with the Detroit offense.
BUF @ IND: Good luck, Gus. Probably doesn't matter whether Richardson, Flacco, or Curtis Painter get the start. Allen should feast against the spongy Indy defense.
MIN @ JAX: Team teal is banged up and can't get past this Jekyll and Hyde routine where they are completely inept on one side of the ball, then suddenly figure things out, but I can't help but think a potent passing offense like Minny will run up and down the field on us.
TN @ LAC: Chargers get two bye weeks this season? No fair! Good news, tacks, no need to worry about extra reps in OT this week.
It'll be hard to separate from the pack this week, I expect a whole lotta chalk picks.

Where do we go from here? |

We are staring at Week 10, 9 more weeks and 8 games left of this season. It's been a terrible season. Disappointing, frustrating, surprising. I don't think anyone saw us bring here after week 9. And that leads to the question. What do we try and do for these last 8 games?
Just for the record, these are the remaining games
Vikings
@Lions
Tinhorns
@T*tans
Jets
@Raiders
T*tans
@Colts
So my question is what should be our aim for these games. Try and win as many as possible and get some confidence and finding things to build on for next season? Start to play some depth and rookies to start seeing what we have on the roster in competitive games? Are we starting to think draft spots?
If we won 5-6 of these last games, would that change anything about how you feel about this season (I'm not talking saving Doug or Baalkes jobs).

I'm just waiting for the news in the coming days. If anything, a few defensive plays and Trevor keep the team in the game against the Eagles. The play-calling on both sides of the ball have been abysmal. 2024 FAs have been horrific.
It's time for those heads to roll.

If there is something consistent with this team it's that this offense can NEVER start the game off on the positive foot. We always go 3 and out for the first handful of drives and can't score until after halftime.
It's gotten so bad that this inept offense has also earned the tremendous feat of not acquiring their first 1st until the third quarter (last weeks game).
Meanwhile, this defense holds opposing teams to a manageable scoreline despite being gassed out there because the offense can't even stay on the field for more than 3 plays at a time. Then it becomes the "defense's fault" when they get bruised up at the end of games because of the bludgeoning they had quelled all game.
This was supposed to be a high-scoring, prolific offense - even injuries aside - and it's been anything but... This defense has done a decent job for the majority of games in my opinion. The offense can't continue to decide to show up and play late in the 3rd quarter.
Something needs to change.
