Really. Whatever Debbie Downer.

I know being realistic is hard around here.

Let me try again...

Everything is fine and Minshew is going to be the best ever!

Again when we don't face a bottom tier pass defense with him starting, we'll see.

Hell do nicely as a backup to Kaepernick while the team gets into position to draft a QB next season.

Not a bad debut I’d say.

As I started this thread and was one of the top posters that was down on Minshew. I have to admit. He did a descent job of replacing NF7 today. At one point he was 11-11 sporting an 100% efficiency. He also, almost threw for 300 yards. They rattled him late in the game and he got off his game. If he can overcome this issue, he may be alright as NF7 is out 6-8 wks.

Time Will Tell.

Issue? It was his first full-on NFL game. What rookie QB wouldn't get rattled at least once?

He set the Jaguars completion record for people with 25+ attempts.

He would pass right through waivers. Nobody wants him.

Gardner Minshew 22/25 275 2 1. I say pretty decent for a rook in his first game. Literally.

Some of the better QBing we've seen in the last half dozen years here. At least things were on time.

Really impressive.
I'll shut my mouth about the velocity issues for now.  Certainly not as bad as I thought.

Here is hoping for fair weather and following seas.

Don't over think what is going on in the next game.
Just keep on doing what you're doing!

I liked him during the preseason. I think he'll have his up's and down's but his up's will be impressive. If he can go at least 4 - 4 over the next few weeks that would be good enough.

They said he's really aiming to be a coach down the road. He was interested in learning from Saban at Alabama. So he must be a fairly decent student of the game.

Definitely showed some promise with all things considered. Its his ship now for the next 8 weeks or so. We'll see if he can keep it moving.

Mid November Foles trots out into the practice field while rubbing hands together,
“I’m all healed up. Where do we start?”

“Yyeah, Nick. Got a minute? Let’s talk.”

You guys are a tough crowd.

Kid comes in and goes 22-25 for 275 and makes one, maybe two bad throws in his first NFL game with almost no reps with the 1's.

When have we EVER seen a Jaguar QB with that kind of completion ratio, no matter who we were playing?

In fact, when has anybody else's QB come in and put that kind of accuracy together no matter the score or situation?

He sure didn't look like a rookie, and certainly not like he did in preseason. Poised, put the ball in tight spots, moved well. If that had been Foles out there doing what Minshaw did, you guys would be fawning all over him and carrying on about what a steal he was at 50 million guaranteed.
