Don't get mad. You could just vote for a better solution and not worry that taxes you pay improve the lives of poorer people.
US only sucks politically. I wouldn't mind eating some of the food, beer and watching the sport. But this is the political forum... although somewhat of a fox news echo chamber. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

And most of them are upset that they pay for others working the system. Those less fortunate for legitimate reasons, ok. Take it. We don’t mind. Yes, there is a lot of great things that America and it’s citizens provide. All those you’ve included, which one of those brought you here, BTW. But there are so many more things we offer, create, make and do that far exceed those three things you’ve listed. Don’t pretend you know us based off news stories. We may be a rough, rag tag group made up of many different types of people. But that’s kinda what found our country. And we enjoy and love it, and defend it.
Another half trillion dollars being proposed while outputs are being slashed... this is madness. Our economic output gave us leverage to prop up our profligate spending... I cant stress how insane this is. 20 million people on unemployment.... with federal supplements averaging 52k/year NOT TO WORK. U know that's more than AOC EVER PROPOSED? That's a trillion dollars.... and the numbers are just going to keep climbing.

Interesting. I was looking up antibody test results and found that the tests used by the UK have been faulty. I hope the version approved by the FDA is more reliable. We really need these numbers to make the best decisions.

For some reason, no one seems to appreciate that testing 350 million people would take longer than 5 minutes.

But something isn't right when we have mass graves on Hart Island like a third world hole. The fact that its come to this should be a wake up call. Maybe it is privatisation of the medical industry, but this need bipartisanship to solve. Politics has lost its way (on both sides)....as I said, time for a hard reset. https://gothamist.com/news/mass-burials-...skyrockets

According to the article, they've always had mass graves on Hart Island to accommodate burial of the indigent and those without families. They're just doing it at a faster rate because the medical examiner's office is holding the bodies for less time. New York City, a high density population area, is logically suffering the effects of a pandemic more than other places. Thus, um, America sucks? A negative result is great, but if you go to work, the grocery store, eat take out, ride an elevator, mass transit, etc., you're potentially exposed again. Unless you go immediate isolation, the result can quickly become meaningless.

But I would like to see a few thousand randomly selected people, who don't think they have had the virus, tested to see if they had it and didn't know it. That information would be very valuable. And my point is even people I used to respect but wont name (Dawn Smannity) are floating the idea of people being tested multiple times a week or every day. If you tested a million people a day it would take a full year. You'd have a false positive population bigger than Kansas nd a false negative population bigger than the active rosters o the NFL, NBA, and MLB Combied!!! The antibody test shows whether or not you were exposed and overcame the virus. A positive antibody test means you are now immune with no further test needed. (at least in theory, there are supposedly cases in South Korea of people who have re-acquired the disease) As Marty said, if you test a random sample and a large percentage of people with no symptoms test positive with antibodies, that implies the virus is not nearly as deadly as feared. If so we could go back to normal social habits and end the misery and economic destruction. Of course a very low percentage of people with antibodies would imply the opposite. But considering the cost we are paying by the lockdown, this random testing should be done ASAP in the chance it might give a desired result. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?"
First the medical ships have to adjust their missions, now we have the field hospitals being taken down. Were Governors exaggerating numbers for funding or to procure assistance without the actual need? Seems the information on the ground is much different than the media picture (duh).
