Ohio's Rep. Warren Davidson introduces bill to study 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'

U.S. Rep Warren Davidson wants the federal government to study "Trump Derangement Syndrome," a phrase that does not refer to an actual medical condition.

Davidson, a Troy Republican, introduced a bill May 15 directing the National Institutes of Health to study the roots of "Trump Derangement Syndrome," calling it an issue that "affects the real world."

The phrase bubbled up during President Donald Trump's first administration and is a tongue-in-cheek way of referring to a condition allegedly suffered by those who would automatically oppose Trump's every action. Recent presidents have been the subject of similar "derangement" syndromes by opponents, including George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

How do you deal with people who refuse to accept reality? Give them a DNC voter card, I guess.

And what's up with the masks?

The lawfare was a distraction. A better Senate would have convicted Trump during either of his impeachments, and none of the "lawfare" would have been needed.
Criminal investigations were never the right avenue because you were never going to find a 12 member jury that would be unanimous about removing Trump's right to run for office.
If there were just 10 more Republicans in the Senate who were willing to stand up for themselves, we wouldn't have having this conversation.
Things Biden did wrong were not comparable.  Biden was never impeached.  Biden and Kamala accepted his election loss.  Are they perfect, no.  Is Trump the bigger problem? Yes. Is Trump despite all of that, achieving good things as President? Perhaps.  Time will tell.

I respectfully disagree with your opinion. Have a nice day ... Wink

The Regan library has the AF-one he used. I believe the Marine-one that was used by a president is in a library too.

You know what it would cost for him to actually use this plane?  Besides he has his own private one that is better than AF one. Now Clinton uses his helicopter regularly, Hillary has the 500k of jewelry. Obama still has the 22+million for his library. tell you what first go get those guys to donate them back to the US then I'll commiserate with your angst. Until then all you are doing is proving Democrats/liberals have over the years turned into a one way road. This reduces the value of what you think.

Again, these are wildly invalid comparisons.
The airplane should be given to the US for the use of any President, not just Trump.
Once the US chooses to retire the airplane, then the US at its discretion could donate that airplane to the Trump library.  But it would only make sense to do that after a newer and better airplane for the President is online.  And a backup too.

The comparisons are spot on and all of them are inappropriate gifts IMO.  Every one of them reeks of influence peddling.

You don't think Trump is achieving good things? Surprising.

The lawfare was a distraction. No it was an abuse of power by the Democrats. An example for all to see of rules for thee but not for me. A better Senate would have convicted Trump during either of his impeachments, and none of the "lawfare" would have been needed. Incorrect, the senate did the appropriate thing. The lawfare was an example akin to a child holding their breathe and stomping there feet, much like what the Dem's are doing currently.
Criminal investigations were never the right avenue because you were never going to find a 12 member jury that would be unanimous about removing Trump's right to run for office.  Agree as the lawfare contibuted to the election loss. Out of 12 people most likely 8-10 would have a brain.
If there were just 10 more Republicans in the Senate who were willing to stand up for themselves, we wouldn't have having this conversation. They did stand up for themselves. They just didn't do as you wished.
Things Biden did wrong were not comparable. Biden did nothing while in office. He just followed orders, that is when he was able to remember them. Biden was never impeached.  Biden and Kamala accepted his election loss.  Are they perfect, no.  Is Trump the bigger problem? Yes. Is Trump despite all of that, achieving good things as President? Perhaps.  Time will tell.

They figured out she's the one who pisses you guys off the most, so they picked her, because pissing you guys off is more important to them than achieving any other policy goal.

Energy officials find unauthorized communication devices in Chinese solar power inverters

Undocumented cellular radios were also found in some batteries from China.

U.S. energy officials have found "unexplained" communications equipment inside some Chinese-made inverter devices, according to a report by Reuters published Wednesday.

The document reveals the presence of unauthorized and fraudulent communication devices in several Chinese-made solar power inverters. These could introduce unregulated and undocumented remote communication channels into the inverters, through which an attacker could remotely bypass cybersecurity firewalls used by utilities.

Similar devices were also found in batteries manufactured in China, the release said.

oh joy, now we need to do a total inspection of all those cheap components we bought from China that are integrated into our power grid and a lot of other aspects of our infrastructure. Well not so cheap now are they? Can you say Trojan Horse?

It doesn't surprise me. Transceivers and other unauthorized electronics have been found for years inside dock cranes purchased from China. I have little doubt that consumer and industrial equipment is replete with this stuff. Even some of the electronics used in defense gear is bought from China. It boggles the mind. But we continue to stupidly purchase from them while undermining our own manufacturing base.

Yea, and this does give you a window into why Trump wants some stuff manufactured in the US by US companies. It is a national security issue.

So… about that Qatar jet. ?
You know about all the media outrage over Trump supposedly getting a $400 million plane from Qatar? Yeah, turns out that storyline’s got more holes than Joe Biden’s memory.
It so happens the controversial Qatar plane deal didn’t actually start under Trump at all—but under Biden. Yep. Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) revealed that negotiations for the plane began during the Biden administration, not as some royal "gift" to Trump, but as a practical conversation around replacing the aging Air Force One fleet.
Which makes sense—Air Force One is over 40 years old. But instead of honest reporting, the Left conveniently left out that detail to keep their anti-Trump outrage machine running.
This whole saga exposes yet another layer of political hypocrisy. Because truth bomb: Presidents have always accepted foreign gifts. It’s part of the diplomatic dance we’ve been doing since 1787. And while there are legal guidelines—like the Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act—gifts over $480 can still be accepted if refusing them would cause offense or diplomatic harm. It’s literally in the law: 5 U.S.C. §7342©(1)(A).
So let’s stop pretending Trump getting offered a plane was some unprecedented act of corruption. Unless, of course, we’re ready to audit every administration back to George Washington.
But we all know that kind of accountability isn’t exactly the Left’s strong suit.

ok so another red herring from the left. Their supporters must be some of the most unaware people known to man to not see these things happening over and over again. Much ado about nothing.  again...
