Yep,yep,yep. I have said that too. For a display...lol  Everything that is being done is according to US law. Heck there would be a lawsuit if not by now. The Regan library has the AF-one he used. I believe the Marine-one that was used by a president is in a library too.

You know what it would cost for him to actually use this plane?  Besides he has his own private one that is better than AF one. Now Clinton uses his helicopter regularly, Hillary has the 500k of jewelry. Obama still has the 22+million for his library. tell you what first go get those guys to donate them back to the US then I'll commiserate with your angst. Until then all you are doing is proving Democrats/liberals have over the years turned into a one way road. This reduces the value of what you think.

The airplane should be given to the US for the use of any President, not just Trump.
Once the US chooses to retire the airplane, then the US at its discretion could donate that airplane to the Trump library.  But it would only make sense to do that after a newer and better airplane for the President is online.  And a backup too.

I wonder about the viability of this aircraft ever being used as AF1. It's not as simple as putting a paint job on it. The planes used by the POTUS today have substantially upgraded airframes, powerplants, electronic suites (communications, navigation, countermeasures, etc.) and life support systems (nuclear, biological and chemical). Not to mention onboard emergency medical facilities. Plus, whatever other secret squirrel stuff is incorporated into them. Upgrades of that order might be done by the time the new aircraft are ready, but I doubt it. It all depends on the resources allocated to the effort.

Wouldn't it be cool if they even had an escape pod like in the movie Escape From New York?
