Did anyone ever really feel like Leftwich was the guy? I didn't.

The team around Leftwich was a bit better.  Lawrence is definitely better than Leftwich was, but either way the feeling that we're *this close* and just need to hope the young QB plays *just a little bit* better next year is the same.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

When we were 8-3 we had a 96% chance of making the playoffs. One of the biggest choke jobs in NFL history.

[BLEEP] no.

Stroud, in his first year, has out-performed and outshined TLaw in the 3 seasons he has been in the NFL when comparing it QB-to-QB.

We've been a terrible team but putting all excuses aside, Stroud unfortunately has been playing like how I expected Trevor to be for our team.

Honestly, any unbiased person with two functioning eyeballs can see this.

Lawrence was playing great in the first 11 or so games.
Honestly it looked like injuries got to him. Maybe a concussion. Lots and lots of overthrows in the back half of the season.
It won't be in his interest or ours to extend him now.
Got to get him a better center to get a better running game and take some of the pressure off him and reduce his throw count.

If the GM can get a line together to keep trev healthy for the entirety of next season all these flip floppers will be right back on the bandwagon. I know part of being a fan is being very emotional and overreacting to things but I'm a fan of a team in all 3 major sports and nobody is as bad as good amount of people on this forum. They're less in control of their emotions than a 14 year old girl. Trevor isn't perfect but he's the best thing we've put put at qb for the last 20 years. Since cjb was in diapers.

You guys had that one coming after last year. Lawrence seemed off to me, don't know if it was the shoulder or what. Titans actually didn't generate a ton of pressure and he missed throws he usually makes. Long live the king; if you saw his post game stuff, it's pretty obvious he's out of Nashville next year.

He's been off for a while now.  That is the concerning part.  The way he played before the bye week versus after the bye week is almost night and day.  Really streaky and slumpy player.

Lefty and Trevor have one commonality, they were/are turnover machines.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

He got his [BLEEP] beat week in and week out for 4 months, with no running game to help him out. Even the bad teams were hitting and sacking him all the damn time.  It took a toll on him and we cannot let this 32 ranked O-line happen again next year.

Plus, both would be a lot better off if we drafted WRs that were over 7 feet tall.
