Who starts at WR?

The top 5 are locks, in Moncrief, Lee, Cole, Westbrook, and Chark, and all will get snaps. The interesting battle to me is who is the 6th WR, should they decide to keep one? The 6th would need to be a ST beast. My thought is Mickens, unless Lazard can show ST value. It's a tough call between these two.

It's a tough call between these two. Chark and Westbrook both have ST value. For that reason - I'm not so sure it's such a hard requirement for the 6th guy. Lazard's red-zone mismatch could win out over Mickens return game. Westbrook is a deadly returner, and Chark had two PR TDs in his senior year IIRC.
Maybe Lazard gets converted to TE? Maybe Greene or Wynn tear it up this preseason? Maybe they feel Mickens is going to be the guy we want on PR? Tons of good competition at that 6th spot.

Chark ran a 4.34 at the combine. Westbrook ran a 4.34 at his pro-day. I'd give Westbrook the edge in elusiveness FWIW.
I mean I understand Mickens had a good punt return but he’s just a guy. He shouldn’t be on the roster next year.
They gave Lazzard a lot of UDFA money for a reason. He’s a big Redzone threat and should make the roster. We have small fast guys so why keep Mickens?
Time for a WR ranking...

They gave Lazard a $7500 signing bonus on a 3-year contract. While an attractive UDFA offer, that's not enough to sweat cutting him.

He got 40k guaranteed according to this story. https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/...562780002/ Still pennies in terms of NFL dollars but a hefty UDFA contract nonetheless.

I don't know why they'd report that if not true, but I already question the story knowing the Jaguars did sign another UDFA WR despite their reported promise in the article. Maybe Spotrac is making up their $7,500 signing bonus claim.

Jags told Lazard they wouldnt try him at te thats why he signed here.
