I do think this team can vastly improve next year just by getting healthy, BUT we are missing so many skill positions on offense that I just don't see how next season turns out much different than this season. If you are grabbing a QB in the 1st, odds are you aren't landing a #1 WR in the same draft.

Now whether he kept the wrong people is a different issue. I am just saying Caldwell does draft at least decently. I'm not so mad about the fact that he picked Bortles, everybody misses on players sometimes. I'm ticked off that he was stupid enough to give him an extension after proving he was not a consistent NFL QB. That was inexcusable. As far as trading up to get a QB, I don't think this organization is that smart. I believe we'll sit tight, let Haskins be chosen and we'll draft a bust like Daniel Jones or Ryan Finley.

Hurns vastly overachieved and is now playing like an un-drafted free agent in Dallas. It's an unpopular opinion, but I still think we shop Jalen. preferably to Oakland for their best 1st rounder and 2nd rounder.
Jaguars' Coughlin, Caldwell, Marrone will return in 2019
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001...rn-in-2019 Jaguars owner Shad Khan assured in a statement that EVP of football operations Tom Coughlin, general manager Dave Caldwell and coach Doug Marrone will all return in their respective capacities in 2019 We show less advertisements to registered users. Actually, Kahn is a smart man. A bit unwelcome now by Jags fans. But smart nonetheless. By hiring Coughlin, and saying everything is in Coughlin's hands, he can blame everything on Coughlin, and just collect the profit. Shrewd, but effective from a business standpoint.

Why? Gotta be proactive in the nightmare holdout Jalen, his dad, and his agent have planned, maybe even this upcoming season. It's an offensive league now. Let's start building like it. Edit: Also puts you in a position to rebuild your offense quicker. You can get your QB AND a #1 receiver this draft. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Hopkins had a career day today, Jalen got absolutely destroyed out there. Just one game but wow, he got manhandled.
We are going to lose getting Tua. I'm over it really. I'm just going to laugh at every stupid move after stupid move they make.

I put nothing past this crew, and really, if the team doesn't think any of the first-round QBs will be a franchise guy, I'd rather use the pick elsewhere than draft another bust. If Oakland wanted to give us their highest first this year and a first next year, that's a deal I'd take.

I'm down for this. We're solid on Defense. If we can get multiple solid top round picks for Offense (QB, OL, TE, WR in that order), we'll be golden next season We show less advertisements to registered users.
