Boselli is a shoe in for the Hall of the very good for a short time. HOF, with Larry Allen, Orlando Pace, Art Shell, Anthony Munoz. Nope.

Boselli may have had a shortened career, but he was a very much better than 'very good' during that time.

Boselli is the Gale Sayers of Offensive Linemen. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Boselli, when healthy, was the best offensive lineman in the game. He allowed 15.5 sacks in his entire career. There are highly-paid starting tackles out there who allow almost that many in a season. He absolutely belongs in the HOF, but his short career is going to work against him. He was every bit as great as any of the four you listed.

If you have to make a case for a player to be in the HOF, then then they shouldnt be there. With that logic, based on what BB5 did last year, better find out what his suit jacket size is because for a short time he was playing at a HOF level !!! Or is it that some media folks and some jag fans are so desperate to have anybody from the Jaguars in the HOF, the closest they can get is Boselli. So lets bang the drum for him !!

Boselli is a finalist.

The case has already been made for him by the official selection committee.

Now, set down the crack pipe and back away slowly.

Are you a football fan?  Seriously did you even watch Boselli play?  I lost reputation points reading your post.

I don't think he'll get in given his stacked this class is but before voting the committee should be forced to watch every snap Boselli played Vs Bruce Smith, Derrick Thomas, Jason Taylor etc etc

Anthony Munoz considers him the best to ever play. Also , an analyst on twitter said a long time offensive line coach told him that Tony Boselli was the last time the best pass blocker in the league was also the best run blocker

So true..   I think Michael McCrary is the one guy that got the best of him to my recollection.  Dude was an enforcer as well.  Man I miss that 1999 team (well not against the Titans).

That's literally what the NFL HOF selection committee does... every year.

What are you on about? A case is made for every Hall of Famer. They each have one of the voters make a presentation on their behalf as to why that person belongs in the Hall. By your logic, someone should only make the Hall of Fame if they're voted in on their first year of eligibility. I mean, if they don't get in on the first try, clearly a case has to be made for them, right?

Boselli brought something to the OL that has not been seen since he was pick by HOU in the expansion draft, a bad [BLEEP] attitude. If you hit Brunell late 71 would find you and pound you. Saw this in only one other o-lineman, Anthony Munoz. Arguably the best lineman in NFL history.
He deserves to be in the HOF. He was DOMINANT.

Yep.

"very good" that seems like a complement but is quite the insult. It's clear you've never watched him play. He's on the 90's all decade team lmao; he absolutely stonewalled the NFL's all time sack leader in the playoffs. He abused Jason Taylor in primetime after Taylor talked smack all week. He's on the 90's all decade team. He is every bit as good as the guys you listed. The only years he didn't make the probowl were his rookie year (where he shouldve tbh) and his final year where he had the career ending injury. If Sayers and Davis are in ... Boselli should be in. Please don't underplay just how dominant this man was.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Boselli was literally the best LT in the game every year he was in the NFL. Not only pass blocking - but he was a straight up MAULER in the run game.

He was a tough, dangerous, scary player. I'll always remember him wagging that finger.

Need to post this on the Houston Texans board as well, where he closed out the last 2 years of his career in the NFL

Orlando Pace?

Boselli was better than him easily. Walter Jones, Ogden, Munoz and Boselli are the 4 best tackles ever IMO. Joe Thomas will soon be there as well.

I put Boselli ahead of Jones and Ogden.  I go back quite a long time in watching the NFL.  The best tackles I've ever seen - Art Shell, Anthony Munoz and Tony Boselli.  Boselli is more outspoken now since he moved into broadcasting, but Shell, Munoz and Boselli all could be considered soft-spoken off the field during their playing days - though each of them had such a nasty streak when they were on the field that you loved them if they were on your team, but absolutely hated them if they were an opponent.

Elliot Harrison from NFL.com gives his Hall of Fame predictions.  Boselli is in.   To be fair. He had him getting in last year too.....along with Everson Walls, but had T.O. and Urlacher waiting a year. Who knew. Hope he's right on Big Bo
