You also said Jerod Evans was a better bet than Watson and lol’d at me for wanting Mahomes. For what it’s worth, I also said that I would consider Kizer in the 2nd or 3rd, so I’m not trying to pretend that I’m some sort of QB guru. We show less advertisements to registered users. Of course they think he should return. He's good.

The guy throws strike after strike, and he's such a natural talent in the pocket. Now it's been pointed out that his stats tend to suffer when he's under pressure, however that tends to happen with any qb. What impresses me about him even when he's under pressure is that you don't see him get rattled. He takes it in stride, and he has the legs to get out and escape when necessary. Heck, the guy pretty much has it all. Maybe you can show us what you're saying. Go find some game clips that convince you he's no good, and explain to us what you're seeing. Then maybe I can start to come to grasp with your conclusions.

Just about every class is worse than advertised... particularly with the TwitterScoutsTM who try to "call" the next star. And those who emerged as the better of the class? None were the "consensus" best of class. He's nothing like you describe. Maybe you're thinking of someone else. You certainly haven't been watching Haskins. Maybe Herbert? (01-08-2019, 08:21 PM)pirkster Wrote: No, I've been watching Haskins and I'm talking about him. My only big question about Haskins is that I don't feel his deep game is as refined as Lock's or Grier's. Haskins has a big enough arm to get it out there, but Lock can literally hit anywhere on the field where Haskins is more of a master in the short-to-intermediate range. The problem with Lock is that he just doesn't have much pocket presence by comparison to Haskins or Grier. Grier isn't as great in the short-to-intermediate range as Haskins, and his deep game isn't as great as Lock's, but he sort of has a little of everything. In the pocket, Grier doesn't quite have the physical presence that Haskins has, but at least he'll move to avoid pressure where Lock is almost a sitting duck unless you give him a lane to run forward. That said, Lock's ability to nail the deep strikes is tough to contend with, but he just doesn't have that natural qb ability to avoid pressure and he doesn't have all that much of a short game. He's great at striking deep but doesn't always keep the chains moving where Haskins is great at converting first downs. BTW, watch their feet. If you watch their feet it's easy to conclude that Haskins is very impressive how he places and uses his feet along with how he puts his body into his throws. Grier is easily the next most impressive as his footwork looks very natural. Lock, tho, can seriously use some work on his footwork. He's sort of a wild card to me because his deep passing game is so great, at least at times, but the rest of his game leaves me scratching my head a little.

We all know how that turned out. I'd be all for Haskins in the first, Grier in the 2nd (possibly trade up a little) and Lock as an undrafted free agent. In hindsight, that's about what Gabbert was worth. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I’m excited about him. I’m hoping the giants don’t pull the trigger. But a Beckham, Haskins, Barkley, Ingram combo might be too hard to pass on.

You missed badly on that class because you didn't know what you were looking at. Your reasoning for Watson not being good was based on the premise that if he was any good he'd be the #1 pick. You were woefully incorrect. So I'll ask again and see if we can get some actual analysis out of you, what does Drew Lock do better than Haskins other than have a bigger arm? What traits is Haskins missing from his game that makes you think he won't be any good? Wait, someone really said "history has shown that" the last 3 draft classes that include Goff, Wentz, Trubisky, Mahomes, Watson, and Mayfield (with Darnold, Rosen, Allen, and Ljax still up in the air) were bad classes. That's...well...yikes.

Haskins posted a photoshopped picture of him in a Giants uniform. He doesn't want to be with us lol

He also doesn’t have a say in who drafts him so it doesn’t matter what he does on social media. |
