He'll have to cut out a lot of those lofted passes to the sidelines and on deep outs. He's not really able to zip the ball to those spots effectively even at the college level. He's very similar to Rudolph in that his placement and touch on deep passes is superb but lacks the ability to drive it up the field regularly.

Firm believer that his accuracy and placement matter more than his lack of an above average arm though. He's very very aware of how a DB is defending his receiver and adjusting accordingly, that's something not every NFL QB can do. After watching his play from 17 through to 18 you can also see him understand where each individual WR prefers to have the ball thrown to him and adjusting to that too.

 
I think he can throw 85-90% of the pro route tree with very minimal adjustment to that loft that he does get carried away with at times. 

Considering we just sat through 5 years of a guy that could throw maybe 55% percent of that tree... well, I'm pretty open to the kid's potential to upgrade the position.  

If he can throw a lofted 70 yard bomb and hit a guy in stride, he can probably learn to throw intermediate passes more efficiently with less loft.

I'd just like to see him doing it first is all. 

Oh yeah no doubt he'd upgrade what we've had. He'd have ran last year's offense with his eyes close. Chark and Dede synch up well to his style too. 

Not if that loft is a product of his arm not having the juice to get it there. Some of it is his habit of throwing off the back foot but mostly the arm.

That is who I am intrigued by he has a canon and very athletic and he could be a very good developmental qb later in draft.

That's almost average size for an NFL QB. Size should not be a knock on him. Good hand size too.

I heard an interview on 1010 with Grier this afternoon. He sounds mature, levelheaded, driven and says he would be grateful to play in Jacksonville. Of course he'll say that about any team looking to draft him, but he really did sound like a guy who is comfortable in his own skin.

He has that quick Philip Rivers release that is ideal NFL play. He can be really accurate and he's pretty good sized. I think his bad habits could be cultivated out of him with the proper coaching. It'll be interesting to see where he falls in the draft.

Wellllll I'm probably being petty but I disliked that he didn't play in the bowl game; they might have lost anyway, but he would've made a big difference.

I HATE watching WVU lose to Syracuse. Happens way too often whenever they play
