Both could be fixed with correct playcalling and scheming if you really know what you are working with and not just throwing stuff at the wall hoping it sticks. RB couldnt do it all and even the backups werent getting consistent production because the playcalling was bad and not schemed to benefit them. EXCUSES. This could have been fixed before and wasnt, yet fans want to argue with other fans about the problem/solution when it seems they have NO CLUE as well. It's asinine.

In other words, still clinging onto Bortles.
Then again, I already knew that. ![]() (02-28-2019, 04:27 PM)JagsFansince1995 Wrote:(02-28-2019, 04:21 PM)NYC4jags Wrote: LOLWUT? Interesting. Losing seven key players on offense to injury is just an excuse in your opinion. I think that’s asinine. The only thing I think I agree with you on is that they needed a better run game strategy after Fournette and Grant were hurt. The few games with the two of them playing looked like they were on a pretty good trajectory, but Hackett and company couldn’t find consistent production on the ground after that.

The injuries kept piling on as the season continued but with no adjustments to playcalling/gameplanning then what else is there to expect. Whether we had the injuries or not, the same results still wouldve happened more than likely. Even in 2017 we sucked at adjustments most of the season. Same in 2018. Rico, find something better to do. Blake had his chance and with all of the failures of the team as a whole. If we move on, so be it. Players have chances of success taken away all the time due to bad teams/situations. Sometimes they get traded or turn a new leaf with a new team/staff sometimes they flame out. I guess you already know that or probably not, since you like to make excuses for the problems of the staff moreso than players.

That thread was to shed light on the Blake Complainees who negated to include the various other reasons why he was failing. Putting one player under the bus is cool for some I'm in the minority that believe, this whole staff blew it and use the media excuse of blake as the scapegoat. Playcalling was horrid in 2017 yet lol werent screaming at the team for bad defensive scheming running zone instead of man among other issues. Ppl were content with the run. The staff saying that was good enough is complete garbage and the fact that they went into the nxt yr with few changes makes it even more mind blowing. U keep blaming blake and I'll keep blaming the staff who chose the players

How are subjects such as Jags' free agency and draft not valid to be on the main board? But other posts on exactly the same subjects not moved? Intellectual dishonesty is not something anyone should strive for in life. (02-28-2019, 05:56 PM)Steelers Beaches Wrote:(02-28-2019, 08:06 AM)Rico Wrote: What the hell does it matter? You’ve claimed a myriad of them exist. If you start a thread about a draft prospect it’s going to the college forum. If you start a thread about a free agent it’s going the league forum. These rules apply to everyone here. You aren’t being picked on. You just happened to post three threads in the home team forum that did not belong there. It’s not personal. You just happen to be the latest poster who is confused about where to post these topics.
So LF is using his college S&C coach instead of using the NFL team he is on. The same one that had him too big and often hurt. I guess LF will go back to being heavy, no agility, and having hole blindness.
Top speed doesn't matter if you can't get to top speed. Maybe the Jags need to try a new formation in the playbook. Use a long snapper and put LF 15-20 yards behind the line. That way he maybe he will have enough time to see the hole and get the diesel engine up to speed. Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk We show less advertisements to registered users. I believe it because I know it to be true. Seriously, I’m still waiting for you I to point out all of those threads in the “home team” that don’t belong there. I’m not sure what scenario you’ve invented here about this and what you perceive to be my feelings on the matter. The only “insecurities” I ever harbor are concerning things far, far more important than a football message board. Tidying up your posts is not a concern of mine. I do it by rote. I’m happy the Jags have another casual “fan” or follower, we need all the help we can get. So I hold no ill will for you. Me giving you a hard time about a bad take or two and your steeler alligience was something I thought we already resolved and moved past, so it has no bearing here from my perspective. We seriously have two or three people every year around draft and free agency time that want everything in one forum, but it just doesn’t work that way. You are literally only the latest one of those to come about. It’s NOT a big deal at all. Happens every year. Something that may help you to understand how this works is that: the Home Team Forum is not “the main forum” as you call it per se. It’s merely one subset of the football forum. A topic being moved from it is not some sort of banishment. It’s merely basic organization. Not sure why it bothers you so much. The point made above about LF training with his college trainer is an interesting one. Hadn’t considered it from that perspective. Though it did sound like he and Marrone were on the same page about what he should be accomplishing during the offseason at least. “I think that the more experienced or the more knowledge your quarterback has, (the better),” Marrone said Wednesday. “The perfect scenario for me, I like it where the quarterback knows more and everyone else has to catch up to the quarterback. I think that’s what keeps people on their toes. If you are waiting for the quarterback to catch up to everyone else on offense, then you’re not going to progress the way you want to.”

Not sure how you can make this argument. Before the injuries really started, the Jaguars' offense put up 480 yards and 31 points against the Patriots, and 500+ yards and over 30 points against the Jets. The offense didn't suddenly become obsolete between week 4 and week 6. What adjustments could be made to that amount of injuries that would keep the offense at peak efficiency? None. Worst to 1st. Would you like your QB to be in the huddle asking the other players what is to happen on a given play? If you want the team to draft Haskins, this statement does not rule out the possibility of that happening.
