The Houston game should have been a win. It was mis-called. We were right there at the end of the Panthers game with 3 shots to the end zone with obvious pass interference. The Saints beat us really well, but we still had multiple opportunities to win that game. We aren't a bad team is my point.

First player in NFL history to throw for at least 10 TDs and only 2 INTs through the first 7 games of their 1st season.
Had over 250 yards and no turnovers. Wasnt his best game but still did what he needed to do and didnt turn the ball over and the oline and field position didnt give him any help early on
I keep hoping he will calm down and return to that poise and confidence he had earlier this season. His happy feet and jitteriness has caused his accuracy to drop significantly.

Don't scout the box score, he wasn't very good today at all in what was an absolute dream matchup. And you know that. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I remember saying that defenses would figure him out a little bit after getting some game tape on him which is what's happening. The crazy thing is that he is still producing about what he was in the first few games but turning the ball over less. He is, after all, a sixth round rookie.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

He has to get that confidence back and get his feet set.

Either way, I think the consistent pressure up front is getting to him. He seemed like it didn’t faze him until that injury. We show less advertisements to registered users. Doesn't matter who we play if the oline isnt giving him time. You act like he had a horrible day. It wasn't his best but far from horrible on the road and he has no help from the TE position (10-20-2019, 04:51 PM)JagNGeorgia Wrote:(10-20-2019, 04:49 PM)imtheblkranger Wrote: To be fair the second one I think was on Cole. Yeah. Now that he's playing through the knee and the groin injuries, he's not as confident in the pocket (when there is one.) To be fair, given all of the o-line bashing taking place today, Minshew has a high percentage of plays when he's holding the ball for 3, 4 and 5 seconds and you can't expect consistent protection when that happens so often.
Fans are ridiculous. He also has an iffy line and no tight end. Most rookies would be terrible in that situation and he was ok today. Talking like he was bad. His stat line would be one of Foles better career starts

Well Minshew is definitely helping the run game. Bengals played a lot of two deep safeties and tried to take the deep ball away. I dont have a problem with Minshew trying to buy time to let plays progress, my main worry, and it's one of the things that happened to Bortles, the phantom pressure. They are so used to the pocket collapsing or getting hit after 4-5 seconds that they feel it every play and after 3 seconds they are waiting for the hit rather than reading the routes. Minshew is tough and will take a hit if he can make a throw. He had a few plays today hed want back but hes doing fine. Gardner is still playing a LOT better than Bortles did in his first few years, let alone his rookie year.
i'm not gonna say I was thrilled with his game today but he IS playing behind a wretched Oline, and still possibly dealing with a lingering groin issue. Foles would've been sacked several times today if he were back there instead. And Bortles is ten times the turnover machine Gardner is right now. Let's not even get started on that. For a rook, this guy isn't horrendous. He (And the rest of the offense if you ask me) DOES need to work on the redzone offense in practice. They've gotta be able to work on scoring when they're right there, a yard or two from scoring. |
