He's learning that the NFL operates based on salary cap figures and politics. Foles is starting because of his $88M contract. Not because he's the best QB for this football team.

He's a humble kid. But you know that [BLEEP] is eating at him. When they lose to Tampa at home this weekend and get blown out shame on Marrone and the rest of that front office.

Bet those poll results would look even more lopsided if we cleared the board and recast votes after today.

God Foles is so [BLEEP] bad...

Not only has the Offense gotten worse since hes came back.. The ENTIRE team has gotten worse since hes been back.

Foles 0-3 as the starter..

Minshew 4-4 as the starter..

The worst part is we not only ruined our season by benching Minshew we also ruined Foles trade value.

And it was all so p predictable

Imagine how much fun we're going to have, if as Oehser says, we are stuck rolling Foles out not only for the rest of this season, but maybe the next TWO seasons as well.

That might kill football in Jacksonville once and for all.

I dunno gentlemen... I’m kinda glad this shitshow is attached to Foles and not the rookie. I don’t want his confidence disturbed by the crappy coaching going on right now. Let a new coaching crew come in for him next year.

Besides, if Minshew came in and balled out to somehow win us these games it would prolong the inevitable that needs to happen here...

No it wouldn't.. it would further bury Marrone... because Khan would ask... why did we lose 3 games with a crappy QB when we had a winner on the roster? You obviously don't know talent, can't coach talent; don't let the door hit you on your [BLEEP] on your way out, loser.

Oh sorry, I meant in retrospect.. going forward it would prove your words correct I suspect.

I think tomorrow, Foles loses, this thread can basically be closed as far as I’m concerned. One more major flop from him and I don’t see a single Foles supporter left on the board.

Doubt that last comment happens. There's at least six to eight posters on here who are usually wrong about everything else they spew. Whether short and blunt, long and slurry or filled with three paragraphs of highly intelligent trolling.

They exist. And I love them all for it.

But hey, if Foles magically plays like the $88M man that he is I'll be more than happy to come back to this thread mid game tomorrow afternoon and humbly eat my crow.

Not a fan of back pedaling on my end. I want him to succeed. But I have my doubts given his skill set not matching up with this supporting cast at this time and the injury and rust being too much for him to overcome this late in the season.

I understand your feelings.  But, just to be devil's advocate here, don't you think, since the coaching staff is going to get fired for sure if they don't win a few more games, that they would play the QB they think has the best chance of winning?  Do you really think they would let an $88 million contract stand in the way of saving their jobs?

Based on the reported finger pointing with the coaching staff laying fault on the scouting staff for sticking them with players X, Y & Z to work with?

Absolutely. Here's what could happen. Foles either lays up a beauty tomorrow or he lays an egg. They look good for this week and maybe the media and fans come to their senses and the coaching staff is redeemed. If he fails. They put Minshew back in there with a 4 - 8 record and probably [BLEEP] around and win maybe two, three games.

Either way you look at it. And based on Marrone's comments regarding injuries last year and this year. I am convinced this entire staff is delusional. That they probably feel that their jobs are secure due to all of those reasons above. Is it their fault they signed Nick Foles? Maybe not. Is it their fault the scouting staff and general manager secured a pocket passer to play behind this offensive line that's not really built to protect a pocket passer? Let alone do anything well consistently enough to balance out an offense? Probably not.

They're all pretty much [BLEEP] now. Doesn't matter what they do. This looks to be a weekly case of the staff protecting itself for another job next year while distancing themselves from David Caldwell and Tom Coughlin. There was an awkward precedent set weeks ago leading up and just after the Ramsey trade to the Rams. Which, again, who the hell is in charge? Maybe it's not Marrone's decision to start Foles. Maybe it's Dave's. No telling. . .

The fact that nobody clearly knows who does what in that building is appalling. And that starts with your Owner and his select group of Executives. Do I think the coaches would let the money decide who starts? Yes, to an extent. Absolutely. They get paid to do a job. Foles is getting paid to do a job. They were 4 - 4. If Minshew had one that first game against the tinhorns and maybe found a way to win from the pocket against the Saints he would still be starting.

After the [BLEEP] beating they took in London though and Minshew having a pretty bad 2nd half it was easy to make this decision. At least in their eyes. Although we can see the defense has regressed stupendously and the running game has vanished. The last two weeks though seem to prove otherwise as he's struggled in the pocket. Foles can't win with this supporting cast. It's not strong enough. And the coaching schemes and adjustments or lack there of are not helping anyone.

Also, maybe that building is so damn toxic that the coaching staff is technically already checking out. One foot out the door and one foot in the meeting room. That's extremely plausible. Especially given Marrone's decision last year to hang Nathaniel Hackett out to dry and also his history in Buffalo. Never liked this hire to begin with.

Ok so can we stop calling Minshews record 4-4, he was 4-5 as he can in after 10 plays by the offense in the first game. The score was 7-7. He lost that game. You cant just toss that one out as hecame in so early.

Yeah, that’s my disconnect though, one game is one game. It will still be one game vs 2 games he played horribly. An 88 million dollar qb needs to play consistent. Would we have lose the last two games with consistent QB play? Most likely, because of our defense...but we sure as hell didn’t have a consistent qb getting the job done either. If we had won those two games due to our defense it would have been in spite of Foles efforts.

Personally, I don’t see any fire in Foles. He has transcended into an individual in the part of his life that has accomplished what he set out and is appreciating his fortune. I get it, as an accomplished man that’s older than Foles, but that is not what you want in your quarterback. You want a guy looking to prove he’s a winner.

Maybe Foles would make a good position coach or something...

Coaches are fired by the front office. Coaches are paid to coach/play the players the front office hires. Marrone could play Minshew but risks being fired. Of course, the front office is now in risk of being fired to, but from a coaches perspective you concern yourself with the first level of folks who will fire you, not the top level.

We could but given our defense, none of it is indicative of our QB play.

I just want to know where NickFoles7 and Ronster went? There were a couple of other Foles leg humpers that showed up (probably from Philly) when we first acquired him that are mysteriously absent as well.
