We may have some shake up in the F.O. to sort out first. And if the current F.O. stays, they may want to get past the coaching staff releases before they do player eval and mock up a new offer for Yannick.
He's one of the few out there still busting his hump despite the lethargic performances going on around him. Keep him here long term. These next few weeks are going to tell us a lot about who is already checked out on the season. I doubt we see a drop off in his performance.
Yan, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for wishing this cruel fate upon you.
With a strip-sack (and recovery), DE @YannickNgakoue is now the only player over the last 10 seasons to post at least 35.5 sacks and 13 forced fumbles through 58 career games.

I love these cherry-picked stats. Next up: '@YannickNgakoue is the first player in NFL history to wear white socks, black cleats, and a visor to tip two passes and hit the quarterback three times in three quarters." Well... it's not much of a cherry pick. He has 58 career games and a ton of sacks as well as the most FF over that span. It's just another way of saying he's real good at forcing fumbles. More so than any DE over the last 10 years. He's really good and with how bad our team is we should be glad he's this good.
Another 1.5 sacks for Fowler tonight.
I think it is pretty clear who is better and who is having a better season. Yannick on the other hand was sucking from the very first play today LOL

Also Ngakoue was clearly better every other year.
There was no controversy when Yan was getting the snaps ahead of Fowler. He's the better player.
I like both, but the 1 thing that separates the 2 is Fowlers run D. Fowler is a beast in that department and has always been better than Yan against the run.

It was your classic Fowler gets pushed harmlessly around the pocket and then another player or two create some chaos and Fowler swoops in 4 seconds later to bring down the QB. Like, good for Fowler for having the knack/motor to get so many of those clean up sacks...but he's not out there just wreaking having and giving offenses nightmares having to prepare for.

The other one (the .5 that actually should be 1 for him) he did everything. Stop acting like Ngakoue doesn't have those kind of sacks. Fowler is having a better season, period. He is also proving to be the better player.

Lol he didn't beat his man, he got pushed behind the pocket out of the picture.
