Yan still doing nothing

Going to be even more expensive to re-sign this offseason....which was why it was important to get that done in the summer.

If they can add Brown or Kinlaw to pair with Campbell they could be okay for another year with a base front four.

Need a true, pure ILB like Simmons or Harrison to force Jack back outside. This should, on paper, improve the run defense and maintain your pass rush just from a base perspective.

I think it's doable. With good coaching. And some key additions with our first three to four picks. We should be able to start fixing our weaknesses down the middle on defense.

The offensive line is interesting. Robinson is a weakness at LT. But I like his aggressiveness and would prefer to see a move inside to LG or RG. Problem is. When and how that's addressed in the draft is concerning.

In a perfect world. Redskins cut Williams. We land him. But the cap space probably doesn't allow that? So many questions. But maybe coaching can fix our woes on offense along the line.

Calais already plays too many snaps inside, it's hurt his effectiveness this year. We need a rock NT for early downs and a rush DT to slide over from the 3 on pass downs like Dareus was doing before he got hurt. That puts 93, 91 and 41 after the QB without 93 taking the every down pounding inside on run plays. I think Dareus going out hurt us much more than anyone really gets this season and we have to find a DT to replace his specific role if he doesn't stay.

Trent Brown wasn't playing, that may have contributed. Regardless, Yan did what he (will be) paid to do.

He and Allen gave defenses a preview of the chaos that we should be bringing to the field for years to come.

As good as he was at getting after Carr yesterday that one TFL he had against the run was pretty nice too. He owned him.

So, with the way his value is going up....franchise tag? Or no?

If they don't work out a deal, absolutely.

Yep.
But really he deserves a long term deal worth market value. He's outperforming all the highest paid DEs Lawrence, Clark, Flowers....

New front office will handle it right I'm sure.

This. I'm pretty confident though that he is priority #1 once all the management positions are settled. If Shad was ready to make Jalen the highest paid corner in FB, I assume he's equally prepared to back up the Brinks truck to the guys that perform AND want to be here

Hogwash.  I have it from a reliable source that he does nothing.

Shad dropping a nuke on our FO and then giving Yannick a giant 20M+ AAV deal (which he deserves) would be the best thing he can do to help his image with the NFLPA.

How does Yannick get only an 81.1 PFF score after that dominating performance?

Can we sign him to an extension already?

Khan needs to get a 5 kill streak and drop a predator missile on Maroon.

Oh wait

Old man Tom is probably going to fine Yan for rejecting a contract extension.

We already offered him this #PayDay and he turned it down.

What's Next?

NH3...

Do you know exactly what was offered?

All I can remember was a rumor about it being a short term deal and he wanted a longer deal.
Which he deserves.... More Tom mistakes imo

We've gone in circles about what Yan got offered a million times. About all we have gathered is that they likely offered him a respectably high AAV with little guaranteed. Yan just watched Lawrence, Ford, and Clark get way better deals than that and is waiting for his turn at a similar offer, which he deserves.

Indeed.

He's outperforming all those guys this year too.
