Right now, I just roll out of bed, take a shower, put on boxers and a tank top, and log into my computer 12 feet from my bed to work from home. of course you want that. You live in a fantasy world where the government should act as your personal army to take out protestors you disagree with, sounds quite facist
Stop using protesters interchangeably with rioters. MOST people here have no problem with protests. Here's a list of things that should probably be self-explanatory.
Don't vandalize public property. Don't attack or intimidate citizens who disagree. Don't try to remove citizens from their vehicles. Don't loot businesses. Don't burn buildings. Don't assault agents doing their job. Don't blind them. Don't kill your fellow protesters. Don't steal property from people trying to film. Don't create your own autonomous zone That's just a simple list I put together. If you can agree to that, I can agree to the following for the government: Don't obstruct peaceful protests Don't kill citizens Don't use physical force on peaceful protesters Don't arrest peaceful protesters Don't use unmarked vehicles Don't use plain clothes officers to spy on protesters Don't enact curfews Don't confiscate property Don't send in federal agents

And if it was a protester who first broke these rules, it seems pretty unfair to punish all the protesters for that one guy's bad behavior. The whole Portland situation is obviously in some sort of spiral of escalating provocation.

I was trying to point out JIB was tactically wrong, self-defeating, but shooting protesters you disagree with is also ethically wrong.

You have to understand, these people are seeing this through the lens of media outlets that aren't showing the carnage going on in these major cities. These people see this through the lens of people like Nadler who say this isn't real. These are the kind of people who have never had to make a major decision in their own lives and have never been held accountable for anything. These are sick people. Actually I'd say the distance makes it much easier to evaluate. Because im not beholden to 40 years of party brainwashing

Someone who has read common sense by Thomas Paine might recognize that having Ireland ruled by a Parliament in London is almost as dumb as letting America be ruled by one.

Sending Federal officers to quell protests that were limited to one city block was the initial deflection. Failing in the polls, bungling the COVID-19 response Trump gets to play the "Law and Order President" card hoping to everyone will forget the other stuff. And he eagerly falls prey to the fringe groups who commit the real violence, hijacking the peaceful BLM protests. Probably Antifah, maybe even more Umbrella Men. All the Federal officers have done is exacerbate the situation. They aren't trained in riot or crowd control. They are wearing fatigues to makes them appear more menacing. One shot a protestor in the head with a rubber bullet because he was holding up a speaker. A Navy veteran was beaten for just trying to talk to them.
