One thing is clear - We aren't getting the #1 pick

Well at least the Texans traded their pick to the Fins and they won’t be drafting a QB.

Whether we get the #1 pick doesn't matter Trevor is not coming here. Would you? His dad and him will pull an Elway and look for a better spot that has an O line and a proven defense. That is what he has done all his career so far. There also will be enough interest in him to do it. So we might as well get that out of our heads.

Bo, Eli, and Elway... I doubt Trevor is going to be that kind of dude. That being said... I think there are QBs with just as much talent coming out so I'm not mad if we "miss out" on Lawrence. If we're drafting a QB in the first, it isn't Lawrence or nobody.... And I doubt he refuses to play for whoever drafts him #1 overall. If anything he can see who is picking #1 (likely the Jets or Giants, imo) and decide to return to college instead of being a little [BLEEP] Also... most teams picking #1, don't have a proven OL, or defense, or QB. They're usually pretty bad overall.

Trevor (or any other top prospect) would get a feel of starting something new and exciting here.
This is a results-oriented business. There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft". Our record with DC is 37-86. 6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership. These are the FACTS.
I just wanted to say HELLO on this thread again...

The Jags have been playing poorly this year, but there are currently ten teams with only one win. And the Jets are still winless and currently losing to Miami by multiple scores. The Jags are bad, but we have a lot of teams with really bad records this year. I am interested in seeing how everything shakes out regarding the top picks in this draft. According to this tweet, even with factoring another loss today, as of right now the Jags would be picking #5 in the draft. (Though things could change, especially as the Jags enter the tougher part of their schedule).

Because there is no vision softly creeping... and the vision that was planted in my brain.. Still remains The sound of silence. In restless seasons I post alone Pointless seasons carved in stones Near the halo of another draft night To commercial they will cut on our pick alright While my eyes were shone more jaguars draft picks without hope, the board will gasp and say nope The sound of silence In the stands I saw maybe ten thousand not much more People sitted without cheering People watching without seeing Calling plays that fruitless bore little yards and no score The sound of silence And the people on these boards write They will cry and they will fight Owner, staff and much much more Won't care no more The sound of silence

Thank God for no pre-season games... it gave us our one win in COVID Week 1. We will have the worst season in franchise history and go 1-15

What good player would want to come to this dumpster fire? (Even if the marshmallows are free)

And that stat is inflated because we are are always playing from behind and getting garbage yards against defenses playing us soft in the 2nd half of games. Same applies for Minshew's stats. He's not a Top 20 QB. At this point, I don't even see him being a Fitzpatrick type guy. He's a solid back up.
