12 million a year is a lot of money to pay someone thats never coached in the nfl before. yes myer built winning teams in college football ,but theres a huge diference in college, and nfl football. Jags need to hire a winning gm and HC that has nfl expirence.
snowwolf titans owner in madden. note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.
I don't know why anyone cares about the money when it comes to coaching and coordinators.. Their salaries don't count against the cap.. If you find a coach you like and want to pay him, go for it, by all means..

For that kind of cash, you're saying the HC will have control over the team and the GM then becomes a glorified scout. Wouldn't completely hate Meyer as a HC with another strong GM but don't think I'd want him in the same role as early era Coughlin. Especially since he's never done it before.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Understandable, but my comment was about the money only, not the coach getting that money..

If Khan wants to blow 12M on Meyer what is to stop him from blowing 6M on the best GM prospects. I wouldn't think that just the salary amount dictates his roles...I think Meyer might demand the roster control as something in order for him to accept the job. Generally coaches don't get that kind of money. The ones that do are in control of the whole show, aka Gruden. Not a good idea in my opinion.

I don't even know what Arthur looks like, or anything about his background aside from the Titans. But, yes, familiarity with the division, how to attack the Titans' defense, insider knowledge on how to deflate D. Henry's tires, etc. all would make him a good fit on paper. Also, I think Trevor Lawrence's game is actually a rich man's Tannehill. Trevor is fast and has great accuracy. He'd be stellar with all the roll-outs and play-action and even QB sneaks the Titans do. GIve James Robinson a good running mate next year, and the offense would explode. Maybe Arthur would keep Gruden on as OC and the two could collaborate.

Joe Brady got 4 players to go over 1,000 scrimmage yards.
Only 5 teams in history have ever had this happen. (01-06-2021, 01:53 PM)Cleatwood Wrote: Joe Brady got 4 players to go over 1,000 scrimmage yards. Not just that but he did it by figuring how who to maximize guys like Anderson and Samuel who had befuddled previous coordinators. Also, did it with an average at best QB and without McCaffrey. What Brady did is amazing and [BLEEP] if his resume is short what he has done thus far is stunning and I wouldn't pass on him because of it.

Lets think about this college coach...
1. Urban Myer has proven to be real good at coming into already setup or strong programs and maintaining them. (maybe getting a bit more out of them) He has ZERO record of building a strong program. He also in his last 2 stops established a system of preferential treatment and hiding transgressions. That is a large red flag. He pull that crap with pro players and it could get ugly fast. They don't have to worry about losing their scholarships so he cannot bully them like college players. Whoever they pick, and I assure you they won't ask me. I hope they choose well. The fans have paid a terrible price to acquire the resources they are about to use.

He also seems to leave programs on his own very quickly. Wouldn't it be great to get a great coach who stays with the Jags for many years! ![]()
If we get Bieniemy I think Jon Dorsey will be the GM and I’m good with that
Apologies if posted earler, but who are some namesnot mentioned by the media as candidates for the HC gig that you would like to be considered? I wouldn't mind seeing Jim Harbaugh and Brady from Carolina.
