Might we see a trade for Zach Ertz? Don't know if any other TE's still out there are worth acquiring, vs addressing in the draft. The argument that he isn't worth a mid-round pick is legitimate, but what relevance does Henry or Smith have at this point? They have already signed with another team. The question is what is the best option from this point moving forward. If you don't like Ertz, what do you suggest? Plus, we'd have to likely give up a mid round pick for Ertz. Pass. Njoku may be available for a mid round pick. I might also consider a push for OJ Howard, but he is coming off of an Achilles' injury. Does anyone know what happened with Even Engram? Why wasn't he successful with the Giants? Worst to 1st. TE is rarely bare and Im shocked the Jags have done nothing. Can’t rely on a rookie TE.

People are convinced that Cam Robinson can improve after four seasons and 50 starts, but there's a 0% chance that a player who has been limited to 4 games in two seasons because of injury can't? That makes no sense! I'm not saying it is a big deal. He very well may fail and if so, we lost nothing by dumping him. However, when there's a free raffle, what's the harm in trying? If your ticket isn't picked, you lose nothing. If you win, you win big. Any frustration of mine is that too many people on here can't follow a simple logical argument. Your "32 coin flips" isn't a good analogy. It's not as if Oliver missed 28 games because he got hurt on 28 separate occasions. The issue is that it doesn't make much logical sense to dump an early draft pick who is still under a very inexpensive contract when he has only played in 4 games, particularly when it is currently a position of desperate need. People need to forget about the so-called pick. This is a garbage pick in a garbage round and even then it's conditional. The argument supporting the trade is that keeping Oliver is hopeless because he completely sucks. If so, we don't even get that garbage pick. For all intents and purposes, Oliver was cut. With keeping him, there was no downside and a potential upside. That's all I'm saying. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Jonah Williams looked really good for a rookie last season. He was only penalized twice and gave up only 3 sacks in his first year at LT. He also graded out at 70.1, which is way higher than any of our OT's. With him at LT and Reiff at RT, the Bengals are set. I look for Cincinnati to either take Pitts or trade down. I'd offer them the #25, #33 and A.J. Can to move up into that spot. (03-19-2021, 01:50 PM)TheO-LineMatters Wrote:(03-19-2021, 12:25 PM)Bullseye Wrote: They could take Pitts. I explained it on the college board and I'll give the short version here. The #7 is worth 1500 points. The #5 Cincy owns is worth 1700. To get to 7, the Jaguars could offer the #25 (720), #33 (580) and get to 1300 points. We'd have to offer the 3rd rounder (265) to get to Detroit at 7. I don't think Cann is worth a high 3rd rounder in trade. We'd have to offer the #45 (450 points) to get to 5-if Cincy would be open to that move. Of course, that deal would leave Cincy with #25, #33, #36, and #45. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

That's two picks more than the standard allotment, two of the top 5 picks, 3 of the first 45 and 4 of the top 65.. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

In his 4 years, all with the 49ers as a backup, he has started 12 games due to starter injuries. For his career, he has an 81.1 passer rating, completing 58.6% and throwing 18 TDs against 13 interceptions. He was drafted the season after Baalke departed as GM. He seems more of competition for the 3rd QB role to me and possibly a camp arm, but you never know.

A position that currently has a below average player "protecting" a very crucial piece of this team's future. It would be well worth it to ensure Lawrence's safety. That's building a team through the draft. (03-19-2021, 06:21 PM)jaguarmvp Wrote: Oesher is such a tool. I don't see a whole lot of difference between the two QB's. We get a decent backup and we get another mid round pick. Sounds good to me.
With Harris and Reiff signing somewhere else and us not having done anything to improve the TE position (even though we had/have plenty of cap space), gotta say the last few days have been rather dissappointing.
Also looks like we arent signing anyone else (Meyer posted a „welcome to duval“ with an image of all signed players... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
