They have to move to London now, right?

Khan's not going to flee that investment Jacksonville made in the Lot J development. The Jaguars are going to remain in Jacksonville, but I think the Jaguars' presence in London will expand. l get the sense Jacksonville will have to share the Jaguars. What identity will the franchise assume? That's going to be the issue.

I think this is more a case of self-fulfilling prophecy than anything.

First, I don't see how you can acknowledge the question as any bit serious. Vic recgnizes that Khan has put a bunch of resources into the area and would be a fool to discard that. We all know that London is part of the model, and probably will still be when we are winning and selling out the local venue. ....or am I just dumping on the town too? Our fans don't travel well, you don't see seas of teal in visiting stadia, so I could easily envision at least two games a year overseas, they don't have to be home games, as long as the tickets are selling.

Dumping on the town would be to have answered "Probably not, but no idea why Khan keeps dumping his cash into a town that cannot and will not support the one gig they got going for them."  Notice the difference?

Is there any Jags fans who believe we have to share identity with London? Does anyone now, or in the future, automatically think of London whenever they hear of the Jaguars football team?

This is nothing more than Vic attempting to paint a picture of this franchise being dependent upon London keeping it afloat and relevant. I like some of Vic’s takes on things, but it’s obvious he holds Jacksonville in disdain.

London is not viable to having it's own team. Mexico? Sure but no where in Eurpoe. The time difference and travel is too much. Not to mention the tazes over there. Woof!

I will just say that seeing the "London Jaguars" graphic on CBS yesterday filled me with an incredible amount of anger. Hearing more crowd noise when the Dolphins are on defense was annoying. Hearing the announcers talk about all of the different Jerseys in the stands was annoying. This BS must stop as a condition of the downtown development or stadium upgrades.

While we were/ are bad going to London is a necessary evil. The second we see sustained success it just becomes a competitive disadvantage to give up a home game for a neutral (at best) field.

It’s a marketing ploy that less successful small-market teams are forced to shoulder by the league. Vic Ketchman knows this but uses it as an opportunity to throw shade at Jacksonville. Are any other teams playing in London being described as sharing identity?

I've heard that about that 20 game thing until I'm so tired of it.
The media forgets we lost what ...14 of them to get the first-rounder that got us TLaw...
so now maybe some other teams turn in the box

I think the only way we get out of that London deal is to furnish a new stadium with contingency that all home games are to be played there, but good luck with that (both getting the stadium built independent of Shad's wallet and getting that stipulation agreed upon.

We've been playing there what, 9 years now? Yeah, I imagine outside of the fanbase there absolutely is a section of the the casual sports world that marry London and the Jags in their minds. It sucks, but it's part of the business model. If it keeps the team in town long term, I'd much rather share than get selfish and end up with nada.

If another team decides to commit at least one game a year over there, I certain could see it happening.

If we keep winning our London games (5-4 now I believe), that may put a hole in the "competitive advantage" defense. And now that the pandora's box is opened, I don't know that you'll be able to convince the owner that all home games need to be played in Duval. Especially if we do get good, and the London stadia start filling full of teal jerseys.

If we ever get to the point where the home stadium has a waitlist for tickets, we'll see if that's enough to keep the team from traveling overseas. I just don't see it happening while he owns the franchise.

You did what I wanted to do but didn't have the nerve to do so. I had the feeling that we would get our first win but I didn't want to jinx ourselves.

Also as we know how the game went back and forth, I was on the edge, I needed a drink and my heart was beating out of my chest.

WHEW.

How sweet is it to enjoy a win? Take it all in though the bye week and into next week

The team stuck together and played their best ball during crunch time which was very enjoyable to watch.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

I'm not in overalll disagreement, but the final (game-winning) drive began with a false start, then a run for negative yards, then a sack on 3rd and 20.

Somehow they got close enough for a long field goal after all that, but I hope that's not what their "best ball" really looks like.

Teal Jerseys? Some games they were all white with black numbers. White Jerseys on white pants. It’s a long cry from the actual Teal Jerseys of the mid 90’s.

um, what are you talking about? my comment is related to fans in the stands, not what the team is wearing. Most fans are going to buy the home (color) jersey and wear it regardless of whether the team is at home or on the road. Not all of us are casually rich enough to color-coordinate with that week's uniform combo.

The Jersey color selection has been on point this year. It's nice to have a win to match now.
