My biggest worry is I travel overseas in a couple of weeks and have to show a negative test taken within 48 hours of departure to fly. This new strain is so contagious it seems like everyone is going to contract it. I’m already starting to progressively self-quarantine.

Just do a rapid test. Unless you have the virus at a contagious level, you should test negative.

It's continued to get weaker. At this point it is lesser than the flu for most people. Some people could be effected differently based on their body and lifestyle. Deaths and hospitalizations are way down even though everyone is testing positive.

If you listened or heard any of the arguments at the Supreme Court today, 3 liberal justices need to be banned from Twitter and Facebook for spreading misinformation and probably should resign for how stupid they are. At best they are clueless and at worst they are openly spreading lies. No one called them on it either.

They were also discussing whether mandates could stop covid or not but that shouldn't matter and they should have called them on it. The constitution says it's not a federal power, there is no exception for emergencies.

If you were born in the USA in 1900 your life expectancy was 46 years. If you're the person in that story of yours then you survived mostly through luck and the mid to late 20th century advances in medicine (primarily antibiotics).

My husband thinks he might have had omicron last Thursday but like the first time he had it, he only felt really bad for about 24-36 hours. His symptoms were a nasty headache, no appetite, body aches and no energy. He never got tested because he only felt bad the one day and didn't think about it. 

Today I have a pretty horrific headache that started a few hours ago, a sore throat, and my sinuses hurt so bad my ears and my jaw hurts. No other symptoms. 


I had plans to hit the gym and the grocery store. Now it looks like I'm ordering groceries online and chillin' with my cat. If I still feel like this or worse in the morning I'll find my way to the doctor to get tested. 

I still find it fascinating that a virus can affect people in very different ways.
