As everyone knows by now, I like Eberflus and would be perfectly happy with him as coach...but not if it's because of Baalke's strong recommendation aka not if it's because Baalke thinks Eberflus would keep him employed.

The fact that the Jaguars haven’t reached out to guys Brian Daboll to gauge his interest in this job is malpractice, I’m assuming they haven’t reached out to Daboll because he isn’t willing to work with Baalke. Imagine prioritizing Baalke over Lawrence, it’s a staggering level of incompetence.

I have nothing against Eberflus since I can't say I even heard about him until this coaching search. What does bother me is that most fans and sports media believed the Jaguars should hire someone with head coaching experience and whose expertise is on the offensive side of the ball. If Baalke is pushing this hire then that makes strike 3 for me.

We are in sort of a no-win situation with Baalke. No matter who he chooses, it will be one of his guys, since he’s the dang GM hiring him. None of us have faith in his decisions, so it is sort of is unfair to the new coach, because no matter who Baalke picks, we are going to wonder about it.

Why is this team so hell bent on Baalke. It's like a bus is flying towards Khan at 100mph and everyone is telling him he's going to get crushed by it but he's convinced he can take it head on.

Because our owner is literally incompetent.  Baalke is the abusive boyfriend and Khan is the girl who thinks she can fix him no matter what all her friends and all the evidence say.

I honestly am just flabbergasted by the level of incompetence.  All of sports media, former players, and the entire [BLEEP] fanbase are begging you to can this guy.  How in the [BLEEP] world is he still employed.  He's done nothing anywhere to even remotely imply that he is worth it.  His very presence is limiting your coaching search.

And then I remember that this is the guy that watched the FO chase off our best players and waited weeks upon weeks to fire Urban.  Shad Khan is an absolute pox upon this team.  He is unqualified to even be a football fan, much less an owner.  We're [BLEEP].

So as of now it sounds like basically no matter who we get they are going to have the Baalke anchor hanging around their neck at least through the draft? Is that what most people have been getting the sense of today?
