2022 Free Agency Wish List

(03-15-2022, 06:14 AM)flgatorsandjags Wrote: Here's the type of signing Upper likes at G lol

Texans re-signed center Justin Britt earlier Monday. They since have added veteran offensive guard A.J. Cann, agreeing to a two-year, $10.5 million deal with $4.5 million fully guaranteed, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports.

Now add Connor Williams 2/14 to the list. We could have signed an entire extremely quality trio of any 3 of Williams, Glowinski, Allen, or Corbett for the Scherff money and been better and have less injury risk downside. That's how I wanted to do IOL.

Charles Harris 2/14 also. Another excellent value signing for the Lions.

We have the most hated man in the sport remember?  You think the worst team in the league is going to get all these great deal signing with the most hated man in the sport?  Lol

Maybe we would have had to pay 2/18 instead of 2/14 or done like 3/25. Still WAY better than Scherff at record breaking numbers.

They might not of even wanted to come here.  Give me the borderline HOF talent though

Josey Jewell back to Denver for 2/11! How in the world did someone not offer him double that considering what Oluokun got.

Need to see Gage's numbers first, but it's almost guaranteed to be a deal that we should have topped instead of Zay.

EDIT: Gage got basically the same deal: 3/30 but with less frillls. Would have been a nice get.

Up to this point, free agency has gone extremely well. The only pick I'd question is Zay Jones since the Jags can probably draft someone in round 4 for a fraction of the cost who could be as effective as Jones. In order to put this class over the top, I'd like to see them sign Darious Williams. He won't be cheap, but I expect Linder to be let go shortly. It has also been mentioned that the Jaguars could trade for La'el Collins and then withdraw the tag on Cam Robinson. That would result in an upgrade at right tackle plus a savings of $6 million.

That's not the only pick I'd question.

Given the contracts involved, I'd rather the team execute the trade for Amari Cooper and accepted the $20 million vs paying what they did for Kirk.

I also wonder how much of a scheme fit the LB from Atlanta is going to be at 215 lbs.

On the whole, I like this year's free agency haul.

But I do have some questions.

I flat out hate the Zay Jones signing.

That 215lbs listing is wrong. He was 230lbs at his Pro Day. There's no shot that he got smaller since being in the NFL for 4 years. He absolutely looks bigger than 215lbs as well.

I was looking at the top 100 free agents left and there are a lot of good ones left. Do we have any money left to get a couple more?

They need to leave some room to also sign the draft class and have some wiggle room during the season.  I think they are done with the big signings.  I would guess we'll see some lesser signings as we move to the second phase of free agency.

Foye Oluokun weighed 230 lbs at his pro day and I saw several of his highlights with Atlanta. He is a lot bigger than 215 lbs. He looks more like 235 lbs, imo. I don't know why all these website are listing him at 215 lbs. He's a lot heavier than that.

Not sure why the 215 is so hard to believe.

Here are his Pro Day numbers. Why would he shed 15 pounds to play in the NFL as a MLB? He should have only gotten bigger/stronger after being in a NFL Strength and Conditioning program for 4 years.

This doesn't look like a 215 lb. man to me. He looks more like 230-235 lbs.

Maye was an awesome safety before the Jets traded Adams and they tried to turn Maye into a box safety/blizer like Adams. The Saints are getting a steal at under 10M per year he would have been fantastic next to Cisco.
