Really? At this Stage? For what? It’s not like anyone is clamoring for that 1st pick, they seemed totally flatline when discussing Hutch. Pederson even seemed kinda perplexed.

I admit the fakeout is unlikely to work, but what is the harm in trying?  Teams inevitably already suspect that the Jaguars are taking Hutchinson.  Think about it.  If another team is in love with an offensive tackle, why trade up to #1 if the Jaguars have publicly committed to Hutchinson?  The Jaguars giving the perception that they are considering multiple positions can only increases their trade options.

I will be very surprised if they don't take Hutchinson or trade down.

I loved Boselli and Searcy. There is no Boselli or Searcy in this draft. If there was, I would be clamoring for them. You can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

Boselli was a great player but has been a very poor talent evaluator.  He defended Luke Joeckel even when it was obvious to everyone else that he sucked.

The difference is that we know for sure Walker is a freak athlete and an extremely large and very long person. Chaisson was very small, had trex arms, and then didn't do a single test pre draft. Everyone just assumes he's a raw athlete but he hasn't done anything on the field that looks like a freak athlete to me.

I mean, it's kind of been a long time accepted belief that the greater you are on the field the worse you are at eval. Obviously there are John Lynch type of exceptions, but in general I think it's true.

If our 2nd pick (whether by standing pat or trading up) is a WR, I'll hope it's for one of London, Burks or Williams. If we address X WR later on, I'm probably higher than most on Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Tolbert and Alec Pierce. I also am higher on Wan'Dale Robinson if the value is right and would be happy with the pick, but he doesn't have the size we're probably looking for.

If it had only been Bo I understand, but Leon has always called thing straight on our tackles. What I really want is for us to help Trevor and the other skilled players. Drafting an edge that can be neutralized by a quality lineman pretty easy is not going to help him. Our defect last year was not the defense. It was an offense that averaged 14 points per game.

I just saw a mock where the Chargers missed out on their RT in the first, so they traded back to 33, and the Jaguars wound up with Olave.

Depending upon what they gave up, I don't think I would have a problem with that.
