Or “Buried” with Ryan Reynolds.  About 85 minutes of him in a box.  And another 10-15 of him not in it.  Sorry to spoil the movie for anyone.

Along those same lines, Phone Booth with Colin Farrell. Talk about saving on production costs!

Yesterday, I saw "Top Gun: Maverick" in an IMAX theater.  I give it 4 stars out of 4.  It was a great movie.  I very highly recommend it.

This is not art-house stuff.  There's no Oscar bait here.  Just an incredibly good movie that has to be seen on as big a screen as possible.

Me and my husband are going to see it tomorrow. I was hoping to hear from someone here about it. I'm still pissed we spent money on The Northman.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  Which was, a lot.

Forgive me, but I haven't seen the original Top Gun.  Is Maverick still good if you haven't seen the original?

Just re-watched a Clint Eastwood Movie I have not seen in a while, Gran Torino. I'd forgotten just how good Eastwood was in this movie, not only as the lead Character, but also as the Director. If you haven't seen it, get a copy of the DVD and watch it, it will not be wasted time....

It helps to have seen the first one, but it's not absolutely necessary.  Look up a summary on Wikipedia.

Sudden Impact was awesome, but that movie could never get made today...too many racial/sexual stereotypes in play. It would get cancelled faster than Tom Cruise jumping up on Oprahs couch.

Same with Goldfinger

When Bond wants to talk to Felix, he dismisses his female company saying "Run along now, man talk" and proceeds to slap her on the butt as she leave.

My friend said it was great and never saw the first. I saw the first, and have no desire to see the twoth. That's more on me than on the flick, though. I don't usually get $20-some bucks worth of entertainment by sitting in a room with 100 strangers and sounds turned up way louder than the room needs for "effect" and also Tom Cruise gives me the willies.

never watched it. I'd probably enjoy it, but it's one of those things that everyone raves so much about it, I wonder if it could live up to expectation at this point.

Only one way to find out. If you have half a sense of humor you’ll love it. Fred Gwynne does an outstanding job playing the judge.

Last night I watched Wrath of Man starring Jason Statham. It's playing on Amazon Prime video. It was just okay. It had a good plot and a lot of potential, but it was very dark and humorless.

Who does a movie reviews (or other reviews) based on 4 stars?

Siskel and Ebert used to rate movies by thumbs, so really anything goes at this point.

Watched Blow last night. Good movie. Not quote on the level of Goodfellows but I'd give it 3 out of 4 stars - based on our 4 star rating system Smile

Watched Midnight in Paris last week. Wife and I try to mix up our movie preferences and happy to report this was good as well.
