I wear a size 10-11 shoe depending on the brand. My Birkenstocks, both clogs and sandals, are a 40N (narrow) which is around an American size 10. My Altra sneakers are a size 11. My boots are 10.5 IIRC.

My feet will not fit into a shoe smaller than a 10 so why on earth should I have to try to stretch a sock on that, at best fits a size 7? A sock range of 9-11 would be perfect but can I find any? Nope. I found some years ago but they are now worn out and I need to find more.

Do guys have a better range when it comes to these things?

No, socks are the same way, but at least they stretch.  What really drives me nuts are sleeve lengths.  Sleeves don't stretch like socks do.  What's a 34/35 sleeve length?  Is it actually 34.5 inches?  Does it "fit" both, but neither well?

Oh, don't get me started on sleeve and pant length. I'm 5'10" and weigh 145lbs with a short torso, long legs and long arms. As a kid and into my early 30s I was wearing "high waters" pants because no one in the clothing design world thought to make longer legs on pants and jeans. It's like they made them for the average height of maybe 5'7" and screw the tall girls.

Thankfully I can now find jeans and other pants long enough. Now the issue is sleeve length because not every long sleeved top and blouse and jackets or coats is made in tall sizes. I have to buy most of my pants, jeans, long sleeve tops and coats at Old Navy because they have the tall option in nearly everything and affordable. The crappy thing is they don't carry them in the store closest to me (an hour away) so I have to go there and try on what I want to buy then go online to their website and buy in tall sizes.

A great insult recently was when I was interested in a Jaguars pant on NFL Shop or Football Fanatics and their idea of "tall" sizes is for big girls. Like....heavy. I'm 145lbs not 245lbs. The amount of money the NFL misses out on by not catering to us tall (skinnier) girls is pretty crazy. They cater to the standard size female (height) and throw in the big girl sizes on occasion. Hubby bought me a long sleeved Jags shirt a few years ago and the sleeves were not even close to long enough.

Funny enough, my husband is 5'8" (if he stands up straight) with a long torso and short arms and legs so he has the exact opposite problem. I think his inseam is 26. Lol. But when we're sitting down next each other he's taller than me.   Laughing

The weight loss commercials that advertise 'up to' 25 pounds lost in the first month.  One pound is 'up to' 25 pounds

I think when they say “up to”…
They mean for the morbidly obese.  I’m sure many orbidly obese people have lost many pounds on any diet (provided they stick to it and excercise.  More somewhat fake advertising.   Prey much, if you’re fat and want to do something about it, you’ll do it.  It’s more so a battle of ones will. If you’re serious, you’ll do it.

I switched insurance companies and then lost weight. Perhaps I’m commercial non-binary. Or trans commercial. Or commercial fluid.

I don’t know.

I need to vent.  There’s been something happening in my neighborhood for the last few weeks and it’s driving us all a bit worried and concerned for public safety.  I have weapons if need be to ward off/dispatch any intruders, but it still brings a bit of unrest to my neighbors and myself that there seems to be a pack of feral Yorkies roaming the town, wreaking havoc, causing mischief and mayhem in their path  and sending utter fear into and up/down our spines.  Just the other day (caught on Ring camera) this pack of wild beasts were seen ripping apart a 12ft inflatable grim reaper.  These animals obviously don’t fear death itself.  Neighbors are all in panic mode.  Some buying “giggly wigglies” in the event they encounter them, in hopes to distract or thwart their evil intentions.  I was mowing a lawn in the hood and one ran upon me chasing me down and trying to bite the deck of the mower.  It was a nimble little [BLEEP] (I think it was a girl).  I have zero turn capability and this satanic beast somehow evaded my intent on mulching it up and doing the neighborhood a solid.  I’m not sure what we’ll do.  We’re all sleeping with one eye open.

You’re barking up the wrong tree if you think these feral demons are cute and innocent.  Mrs. Ferguson thought the same thing until they devoured her Labradoodle.  Don’t underestimate these things.

I think it’s worth reiterating that this is NOT a couple dogs from a reputable breeder that’s been tagged, chipped, tatted and gotten their shots and got loose. This is a wild feral pack that has come forth from the woods with the DNA of werewolves coursing through their veins.

I'd recommend extra thick socks.  Ankle length is fine, they can't reach much higher than that.  Sorry about Mrs. Ferguson's pooch, but what useful function do Labradoodles really serve?

Well, they’re hypoallergenic…

I believe Josh Lambo is available if you need help getting rid of a few footballs... Smile

At the very least, if he kicks the Yorkies into your neighbors' yards, no longer your problem, right?

....Speed bump/chicane on my morning bike ride to work?

Dingbat went straight for my tires when I was on a downhill clip, Dunno if he caught my foot or my pedal (metal with spiky grips), all I heard was the growly bark, immediately followed by a yipe, and uh, pay attention, dog owner, if you know your dog is a moron.

In related news, I haven't seen dog or owner since then, hopefully they just adjusted their walk schedule, but I'm a lot more cautious now when I get around stupid dogs and their stupid owners.

You're assuming the owner is the more intelligent of the two.  Such is not always the case.
