Trevor’s Breakout Game

This game was not an exception. He got lucky today.

You mean second game-winning drives... In 90% of those games Trevor took the lead with minutes left in the game... the defense blows it.... Then Trevor's left with  2 minutes and usually no timeouts... and two minutes is being generous.... Something tells me that you don't actually watch the games... It's either that or you have no clue what you're watching

This is his first year in Pederson's offense.

It obviously doesn't always work out with this franchise.  But games like today are why I urge patience.

Exactly Bullseye. That's what some of us have been saying all year, be patient, let him progress and improve and you'll start to see results and performances from him.

Sadly a lot of people took the 'generational talent' tag he had put on him and expected perfection from the start and if he made a mistake or had a bad game then he was a bust. People were ready to write him off so quickly it was very weird.
When I think of these fans without patience for young QBs to progress, I think about BUCS fans after they gave away Steve Young to the 49ers.  I think about the Falcons fans after they gave up on Brett Favre.

I get people wanting to win or at least be entertaining....but if you have what you think is a franchise QB, you have to give him everything he needs to succeed.  He needs the right coach...the right scheme...the right surrounding talent...and time to grow and develop into that QB.

It's too early to say he's turned the corner.

Have you actually watched the games?!?

And regardless of opinions, he’s shown hope way before the last 3 weeks.

Over these last three games, He has demonstrated improved red zone accuracy, deeper ball accuracy, a better command of the offense, better decision making, and clock management.

If he had the command he showed the last three games earlier in the year, we'd be sitting at at least 8 wins.

But he needed the right scheme, the right coaching, the right experience.

Shown hope, agreed but it really seems to crystalizing the last few weeks. Good on him and to the people who haven't given up.

There wasn't a play to be made there.

He scrambled, ran out of room, and basically froze with indecision.

He should have thrown the ball away or tucked it and just taken a sack.

If you haven't found a receiver after 6 seconds you need to protect the ball, not act like you can keep extending the play while pursuit is hot on your heels.

He was ticking and running when he got blind sided. Would you rather him take a knee?

Exactly Bullseye. It's a process and it's going to have its ups and downs. This is why most rookie QB's used to sit their first years to protect them and let them progress out of the spotlight. You had some people on here just 6-7 weeks ago saying we should draft a QB I'm round 1 this upcoming draft as a replacement.

The other thing with Lawrence, he had none of coach, scheme or talent around him last year to get better. Meyer in my opinion did more damage than goof for Lawrence and Pederson has had to undo all the negative things Lawrence learned last year. In many ways this is Lawrence's real rookie season.

To be clear, you want Trevor to play defense too?

Incredibly impressive final drive by Lawrence. I think everyone was worried after that blown squib kick, but the good guys won today!

Some big time throws and catches on that drive in the biggest moments of the game. Just beautiful.

What he said.

If your a fan of this team and relatively sane, you have to be excited.

Don't forget that sack!

Down by 7, 3rd and 21 from the -14 1:51 with no time outs against a playoff team.

That's stealing one.
