Jenna Ellis, an attorney for Donald Trump who helped drive his false claims about the 2020 election results, has admitted in a Colorado disciplinary proceeding that she misrepresented evidence at least 10 times during Trump’s frantic bid to subvert his defeat.
Among her admitted misrepresentations:
— Ellis claimed on Nov. 13, 2020 that Hillary Clinton didn’t concede the 2016 election.
— On Nov 20, 2020, Ellis claimed Trump’s team had evidence of a “coordinated effort in all of these states to transfer votes either from Trump to Biden, to manipulate the ballots, to count them in secret.”
— On Nov. 30, 2020, Ellis said on Fox that Trump “won in a landslide.”
— On Dec. 5, 2020, Ellis claimed the Trump team found 500,000 illegal votes had been cast in Arizona.
Ellis is a hack and was only in it for herself. She says whatever will get her followers.

This is THE problem with the media or any sort of journalism these days. Followers, viewers, readers, or whatever you want to call us, we are fed whatever gets the views, clicks, etc., and it doesn't matter if it's truth or half truth or half baked. Sadly we are part of the problem because we (generally speaking) prefer an echo chamber over hearing something contrary.

I'll be honest and say I'm a lot less patient with or tolerant of news stories that aren't in line with my views and I think it's because I loathe being told what I must accept or believe. I'd say since 2020 specifically I'm less inclined to want to read or hear something from left wing media. I prefer to be told the facts of a situation and come to my own conclusion.

Opinion media has taken over much to our detriment.

Right wing media filters the facts just as much as left wing media.   Everyone says they just want to be told the facts, and make up their own mind, but they don't seem to realize, a carefully curated set of facts can guide you to make up your mind in a certain way.  At that point, someone else is making up your mind for you.

The revelations about the hosts at Fox News, and Trump's own lawyer, not actually believing what they were telling us should be a wake up call.  Not only are there a lot of facts that right-wing media won't tell, they will actually lie to you.  It's in the open now, right in front of you.  But there are a lot of people who will never know about it because they don't want to know about it.  And then there are the people who think this is all just a part of the political battle, and lying is okay as long as it helps achieve the political result they want.

Thank God the only time I hear Fox News is when I'm over at my neighbor's house doing weekly cleaning, laundry, running errands, etc. Dude is hardcore. Lol. Being as I'm being paid well for my services I'm willing to grind through whatever hot mess they're spewing. My neighbor is hard of hearing so that TV is always really loud. Nothing like super hyper Fox News folks at high decibels. Lol. I try to turn it down when possible.

I don't listen to right wing media exclusively for the bolded reason. I usually read from both sides to try and get both sides of a story but it's getting harder to do. Unless you guys post something here or I see or hear about something specific I feel I need to know about I don't read the news much at all anymore. There's too much being put out that is just noise and I have better/more important things to focus on.

99.9% of what is being said on either side are things I agree with anymore. The left is forcing an agenda and the right is outright lying. It's all as useful as a soup sandwich.

Just for fun, for the weekend, if anybody is interested in digging into it:

Executive Order 11110
Operation Northwoods
The Chichijima Incident
The Battle Of Athens
Attack on USS Liberty
December 6th, 1941 - Day before Pearl Harbor - Incident was decoded

Never forget. This corruption has, and forever will be, deeply, deeply rooted within our Political system like a bad cancer. Until we're willing to rid ourselves of it. We'll just keep chasing our tails like the dogs they treat us like.

I had a Chimichanga incident at our favorite Mexican restaurant here in Jax last weekend. I must have been on the toilet for at least an hour.

LOL. Nice. That story is crazy though. It involves a 20 year old George Bush Sr. as a Navy Airman. Long story short, six or seven of his crewman, including himself, were captured by Japanese military and four of them were tortured and cannibalized by some of the military men.

Bush somehow survived that incident. Pretty interesting.

Buying that book now. LOL. [BLEEP] is wild! Apparently there was quite a few cases of cannibalism during WWII with Japanese military.

Edit: Bush was not captured. He evaded it somehow. Would need to read more on it but, damn, talk about luck.

What is it about California and gangs? Even the cops have them. When can we expect to see a rumble between the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Lazerblasters and the Silicon Valley Soys?

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Second-In-Command Has Alleged Gang Tattoo (msn.com)

Los Angeles County Undersheriff April Tardy, the Sheriff’s Department’s second-highest-ranking official, said she has a tattoo on her ankle that signifies her dedication to a station she was assigned to early in her career. But several current department sources say the tattoo signifies membership in the V Boys, a deputy gang.

The V Boys allegedly existed at the Sheriff’s Temple Station in the San Gabriel Valley, where Tardy worked in the 1990s.

Deputy gangs have long been a problem in the Sheriff’s Department. A special counsel report to the Los Angeles County Civilian Oversight Commission released last week said deputy gangs have been present since at least 1973.

“It is indisputable that for nearly 50 years, Deputy Gangs and Deputy Cliques have existed within the Department and their existence and negative impacts were known to the leadership of the Department. Yet there was no sustained effort during this period to eradicate Deputy Gangs and Deputy Cliques from the Department,” the report stated.

The special counsel report found that deputy cliques “run the stations or units where they exist, as opposed to the sergeants, lieutenants, and the captain.”

Tardy has said she is committed as undersheriff to eliminating the gangs from the department.

In an interview with Capital & Main, Tardy confirmed that she has a tattoo. But she says it is not a mark of affiliation with any department gangs or self-selecting social groups...

Similar to what happened at the restaurant, except that it was Mexicans and I was captured in the restroom and forced to cannibalize the chimichanga.
