No, I disagree with the notion that women need a space to build up their confidence and skills in chess or poker.  How are they different from any man who also needs to build up his skills and confidence?  In the meantime, as they play in their restricted spaces, they look like they're admitting they are inherently inferior.  There's a lot of debate in the chess world about whether they should have "women's grandmasters" or a "women's world champion."  I've seen a lot of youtube videos of women playing really good to great chess, and they don't seem to lack confidence or skills.  There's a famous chess grandmaster, Judit Polgar, who refused to play women-only tournaments.  She saw them as demeaning.

Although fiction, I would think that women would follow the lead of the character in 'The Queen Gambit' mini-series.  Play whoever, whenever, under equal rules.  That is true equality.

In non-contact sports in general some women would prefer to compete with other women exclusively while others wouldn't care and still others would only want to compete with men. It all depends on how they were raised, how they were trained, how they personally feel about the 'politics' of it all, etc. Some women want a level playing field across the board while others prefer to "stay in their lane". 

Let them decide how to compete.

I agree.  I don't think the man who entered the poker game was in the right.  Women have a right to organize all women's poker tournaments, and if they do the men should respect their space.  Women also have the right to play against men if they want to and the men should generally be OK with it.  In the recent past men thought it was dishonorable to play against women but that changed.  Men only tournaments would still be OK, but most will allow women if the women want to be there.

Where did I use the word exclusive?

You are also being very dense, you're confusing statements of what should happen with statements of what does happen

People of both genders have a right to organize single gender tournaments.
It is better if there are mixed gender tournaments, but no one has any obligation to organize tournaments that way if they don't want to.
In recent history, there were very few tournaments where women could compete against men. The women protested, and that changed, but if men ever want to do a men only tournament that is still their right.

One of my biggest concerns with porn is the titles. Like dad has sex with daughter and [BLEEP] like that. I think, much like speech, service providers need to figure out how to regulate this by following the local laws on any given subject.... speech, porn, religion, etc. This is perfectly within their capability. Sure, anyone with a VPN can get around it, but that's on them.
