“I'm going to punish him. If he hits me, fine, but if I catch him, believe me, I'm going to get the better shot.” - Fred Taylor, November 7th, 2003
November 9th, 2003 - 152 yards on 28 carries with two touchdowns; he also caught two passes for another 32 yards. ![]() “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

When he trucked him and looked back at him on the way for the game winning TD drive it was an instant classic. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Shaq Quaterman knocking Derrick Henry limp.
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle. 2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game. 3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays. Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
The back-to-back wins against the tacks and the Chargers in our stadium packed with nearly all Jaguars fans for both games. It was glorious.

More black! More black! Honestly it might be the white numbers that were out of place on that combo. If they were black numbers to match the black pants it might have flowed well color wise. But that would have looked out of place for that time in the NFL. Remember the Bortles era teal alternates with black numbers? I kinda liked those. What did everyone else think?
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I was having some banter with a Titan fan on reddit the other day and he was saying something along the lines of we're overrated yada yada only beat them because tannehill was injured, so I kindly pointed out to him that not only did we beat them worse with tannehill, their best player got popped for a fumble while they had a 1 pt lead to swing it in our favor. good times. That teal top with black pants combination, along with the all black look at home and all the white look on the road was always my favorite. It's a shame because of that old Jaguar lawsuit that we can't officially rock the OG looks anymore. Teal is our primary color though. Teal tops at home with white pants is still cool. I don't like white tops with teal pants. Think that's fugly. Would rather see white tops with black pants on the road at all times. I sound like my wife right now. I did a top 10 greatest performances thread a few years ago, I’ll have to find it. But for now.
Smith 15 291 3 @ Ravens Taylor 234 and 4 TDs @ Pitt MJD 177 @ Ten McCardell 232 @ STL Taylor 194 River City Relay Taylor 183 vs Det Blackmon 236 @ Texans Brunell 400+ yards passing @ NE Jenkins 18 tackles 2 ints and 1 TD @ Cowboys Calias Campbell 4 sacks vs Houston Means 162 yards@ Buffalo (playoffs) Fournette 190 @ Pit Fournette 225 @ Denver Derek Cox 2 ints @ Indy Cox 16 solo tackles Engram 162 yards vs Titans Swagnew 175 or something vs Ten (playoffs) Hollis 5 FGs Curtis Marsh 172 kickoff return yards I forgot who Smith 220 vs Saints McCardell 16 catches @ STL James Stewart 5 TDs @ Philly Mathis 2 int’s in the playoff game @ PIT All time worst performances? Stewart 18 rushed for 25 yards. I got plenty on the books.
Not performance but a moment for me was Fournette waving over Mitchell to bring it back in '17. For a rookie at the time to do that is so disrespectful and the reaction from Mitchell is even better, you knew LF7 got under his skin
Best team performances

They just replayed the Dallas game from last year. Boy was that a fun game to watch. Especially considering where I am currently residing.

Crazy that the Jags were 5 and 8 entering that game! Sidenote: Three TDs for Zay Jones in that game doesn't get mentioned enough around all the Jenkins big play hype IMO. He was huge in that game, the BAL game, and the drubbing of the tacks in Nashville. I hope we get to see him targeted that way in a few games again this season. Dude just gets open on play after play.
375 with mjd and Fred and chanting fisher sucks the entire 4th quarter
62-7 and sending Marino home with one last L 07 win over the squealers in playoffs

I think that was one of the most enjoyable games from a vindicative point of view than any other I've attended. The stadium was packed with Cowboys fans and they were loud, proud and obnoxious throughout the first half. They started getting quiet later when they realized it wasn't going to be an easy win. I thought it was over after the Lawrence fumble and their fans smelled blood in the water. But when the interception won the game, I absolutely enjoyed watching them all mope out to their cars. However, I struck up a conversation with the Cowboys fan next to me who was a good guy. After the interception, he shook my hand and said 'congratulations'.

When the Jaguars beat Dallas last year, Zay Jones tied the Jaguars single game receiving touchdowns record with 3 TD receptions. In that same Dallas game, Jenkins also tied a single game record for interceptions with 2, joining 13 other Jaguars. Tre Herndon, Jalen Ramsey, AJ Bouye, Tashaun Gipson, Davon House, Derek Cox, Terry Cousin, Donovin Darius, Marlon McCree, Rayna Stewart, Aaron Beasley, Deon Figures, and Rashean Mathis (had 2 ints in the same game 5 times). Mathis is still the only Jaguars player to record more than one “2-interception games”
Jenkins became the 5th Jaguars player that plays the Safety position to record 2 interceptions in a single game. He joins Donovin Darius, Tashaun Gipson, Marlon McCree, and Rayna Stewart. Isaiah Jones became just the 4th player in Jaguars history to have 3 receiving touchdowns in a single game. Smith - 3 receiving TDs against Ravens Jones - 3 receiving TDs against Cowboys Lewis - 3 receiving TDs against Ravens Allen - 3 receiving TDs against Titans Jones also becomes just the 3rd player in franchise history to have over 100 yards receiving and 3 receiving TDs in a single game. He joins Smith and Allen. Jimmy Smith is the only Jaguars WR to ever score 3 TDs in a single game, twice. He scored 3 TDs against the Ravens in 2000 and he scored 3 TDs against Denver in 1995 when he had a kickoff return for a TD, a receiving TD, and a return TD off of a blocked punt. James Stewart, Fred Taylor, and Maurice Jones-Drew are the only Jaguars to score 4 or more TDs in a single game. Stewart holds the single game record with 5 TD (rushing). That was a great memory! I’ll never forget the sprinklers turned on. The timing was perfect.
The Jaguars embarrassed the Dolphins 62-7 and beat them with a margins of victory 55 points, which is the 2nd most of all time in NFL playoff history. It ranks first all time in AFC playoff history. The Jaguars scored 8 TD and forced 7 turnovers. They also scored 38 points before Marino completed his first pass in that game. Fred Taylor scored a 90 yard TD, which is still an NFL playoff record. The 1940 Chicago Bears beat Washington 73-0, but the Bears defense scored 3 Touchdowns in that game. This means the Jaguars hold the NFL playoff record for the most offensive points scored (55) all-time. Also in that game, Mike Hollis put his name in the NFL playoff record books with 8 extra points attempted and 8 extra points made, tied with Blanda, Groza, and Martin. If Hollis wouldn’t have missed 1 of his field goals, he would have scored 17 points in that game which would have ranked him 1st all time for most points scored in a playoff game by a kicker at that time in 1999. As of now Hollis ranks 2nd all time in Jaguars playoff history with 14 points scored in a single playoff game. Fournette ranks 1st with 18 against Pittsburgh.
I just rewatched the Dallas game from last season. What a day at the stadium, that was. To me, that was the game when the defense definitively turned it around and started adopting an identity.
