It's so funny to listen to these little [BLEEP] [BLEEP] liberals cry about hateful rhetoric when we've been listening to those little [BLEEP] [BLEEP] liberals whine about Trump for 8 years lol

Rutgers is telling people to mask up again. I think airlines are fixing to do the same. There's also another jab coming out for everybody to get in line and take. There's a good chance we're heading back to lockdowns, curfew's and work from home policies once again, during another election year. I am sure that's just a random act of nature though. I don't even believe you. There will always be another excuse. Even then, 2017, 2018, 2019 were three great years to be living in America. You're insane. 2020 went haywire because of Covid and media manufactured racism, but sure, blame Trump. The value of the dollar has never been worse in my lifetime. That's intentional. This indeed has been a shitshow but the shitshow of 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 was worse. Materially speaking, 2017-2019 were decent years, yes, although it couldn't last. When you cut taxes without cutting spending there will be a hangover in the economy regardless of any pandemic or race riot. But that's only true if you turned off the news. The narcissist in chief had a congenital need to dominate every news cycle and spiritually that was very damaging to anyone who paid attention to the news.

You know, rhetoric aside I can understand the debate over the positive and negatives of Trump's policies and record in office but the hero worship is over the top. I guess Obama had a little bit of that in his first term but I think it had largely faded by the second. Trump's adoration still seems to be going strong in spite of everything that's happened since he was elected. Isn't that indicative of a cult of personality?
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Trump personifies what the right believes is a forceful pushback against the institutional rot in DC and the MSM. I guess you could call it a cult of personality because he's the only person, and a complete outsider, who said the things that career politicians won't. Love him or hate him, he's very unique in the history of the American political landscape. Trump is angry. It doesn't go deeper than that. We know this because whenever we get Trump supporters together and ask what he's going to do to fix the things they're angry about, they sharply disagree with each other. We know this because Trump never articulated much of an agenda beyond the bare bones of what Republicans had tried to pass for years, and he got most of what he wanted, but his supporters are still angry and still feeling like they didn't get what they wanted. And yes when people hold him up as this instrument of righteous divine judgement and unifyer of that which can't be unified, yes that is a cult of personality.

But when Hillary lost she moved on. She didn't sign up for a revenge contest. She understood after November 2016 that the party was bigger than her. Not just in the form of media manipulation, but literal boots on the ground. It's called community organizing. It's highly coordinated, and the sole purpose is stirring up dissent in disenfranchised communities.
