Let's Talk About- Political Edition

I hope you're right.  Trump's going to go after her as a neocon among other things.  But I think Nikki would be a good President. Better than Biden or Trump.

No one likes Biden. Even people who voted for him.

However, many people are obsessed with Trump on a very weird level.

Very true, and the obsession exists on both ends of the love-hate spectrum.

I could care less about the man.  I care about my country.  If there was no chance that he would ever be in any position of power again, I would never think or speak of him anymore.

McCarthy is out.

McCarthy removed as speaker of the House – NewsNation (newsnationnow.com)

Chaos for the House Republicans. While I don't necessarily endorse this upheaval, in a way it's a good thing. Kicking the budget can down the road by passing one continuing resolution after another is keeping the country is a constant state of uncertainty. This won't get the problem solved soon but I think it's the first shot fired in a long war that hopefully gets results.

I'm not a Matt Gaetz fan but he made a good point. The House went on a six-week vacation before returning to Washington to kick the can down the road again. It's a shame we can't unite as a country to make our representatives do their jobs.

Matt Gaetz is known for bringing wrestling belts to his campaign appearances and rallies. Trump is now busy making courtroom appearances instead of campaign appearances. The people have enough bread at the moment. Gaetz is now the circus.

What I find hilarious is Gaetz was always a maga republican firmly in Trump's corner. Now he makes his move and Trump says they shouldn't be in fighting. That is rich the guy that has literally never said anything good about any other republican and made it his calling card to name call and destroy Republicans is saying they shouldn't be in fighting.

No idea where it goes from here but I just found it funny trump of all people lol

No. Sounds like another leftist construct to build an alarmist narrative around as red meat for the MSM. A rebranded QAnon.

I saw that article too.
People of any ideology might be willing to set aside elections and constitutions. There could be a red Caesar or a blue one. And all such people are equally deluded, because once the dictator is installed, there is nothing to force him to follow whatever ideology you think he's going to follow. He will do what he wants.

I'm a transplant, but I do know what you meant, just couldn't resist a little fun.

As an objective outside observer, I'd have to say you're unaware, or in denial, of the extent of your feelings towards Trump.  Those obsessed with him fall into two distinct categories.  To his supporters, he represents the savior, while your group sees him as the very devil himself.

What do you consider a "position of power"?  Even if you take away his right to hold office, he will always hold a position of significant influence.  He's rich, famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) and a former President.  His followers on social media will still cling to every post, and your group will always find discontent in his words.  The news media will always provide a platform and for their purposes, the more controversial the headline, the better.   He's not going away.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Maybe.  But since there are some people on this message board whom I would consider pretty far to the right politically, I am wondering if any of them had ever heard of it.

By the way, QAnon was a real thing, you know.  So, if this rises to the level of QAnon, then this is a real thing.

What do you mean QAnon was a real thing? You’ll have to explain that.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.  What I meant was, "QAnon," although it was based on pure fiction, did have a lot of believers.  That's why I say, if "Red Caesarism" rises to the level of QAnon, then it is a real thing that is kind of interesting, the way QAnon was interesting.  And that's why I'd like to know if Red Caesarism has any traction in the public sphere, and if anyone else has ever heard of it.

Okay. However, I don’t think it had a lot of believers but the media built up a narrative that it did because it benefited their candidate.

If Red Caesarism gains any traction in the public discourse over the next few months is because the MSM is building another narrative to help their party.

It really is that simple.
