He's not an edge rusher. Put 20 pounds on him and move him inside. | 10 | 8.33%
Still has work to do as a pass rusher but I see improvement. Let's see how it goes. Inside stunts are enough to get him matched against guards. | 37 | 30.83%
He's going to be a beast. I trust the process. | 31 | 25.83%
Bust | 27 | 22.50% | |
I wish we'd just switch to a 4-3, leave him outside and put his hand in the ground. | 8 | 6.67%

He was absorbing several double teams and chip blocks throughout the course of the game. He was also running quite a few stunts back inside. He was around Pickett a lot and very disruptive in regards to making him get rid of the football or at times even flushing towards Allen and away from him. He's pretty smart and it shows at times. I think he's going to turn the corner soon this year in the pass rushing department though. Can't wait. Travon is developing quite well. He is in firm control of his area of responsibility on the field..
A new broom always sweeps clean.

Trying to use him like Jason Babin in that wide 9. I like that for him honestly. Hopefully Walker dominates McKitvitz Sunday.

Hutchinson crowd here has been awfully quiet lately.... (11-10-2023, 02:26 PM)Cleatwood Wrote: https://twitter.com/JVillainsPod/status/...10340?s=20 Dude is passing the eye test too. Travon has been looking good for the last 4 games. He's ripping up the wrapping on almost every play, run or pass. Dude, if he could show out on Sunday, oh man... That would be so sweet! He deserves a huge game. He's clearly putting in the work. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Travon is better then Aidan at everything except pass rushing for now soon he will be better at that too.
No Fun

Lions run D is just as good as ours although we are better now with Hamilton back and Hutch is good in coverage as well. He already has 4 ints in his short career as a edge rusher which is insane. Walker and Hutch are both playing very good right now

And if Hutch was a Jag you'd be saying Hutch is a Pro bowl player and you would laugh at Lions fans who say "Walker is better than Aidan at everything except pass rushing". Aidan is better atm and it not really close. I am a fan, not a cheerleader. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Travon is moving in the right direction. I still think Aidan was the better player last year and he's been the better player so far this year. They're both key components to their respective teams. Also, as cited numerous times. I don't fault Travon's slow development or inability to consistently sack the QB chiefly on him.
I put that on personnel management, the evaluator's and coaching staff. Also, in fairness to Aidan. Much like Allen here in Jacksonville. There's nobody opposite of him that scares you off the edge that takes some of the pressure off of him. We immediately know this now as a team, they were linked to trade attempts for Hunter last year and earlier this year, they were linked to that Patriots edge rusher as well. That, in and of itself, somewhat admits failure in getting the pick right initially with Walker. So, there's that I guess... ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Yeah, Hutch is a better player right now but Walker has played good football during this win streak we currently have. Hopefully he continues to improve his play as the season goes on and by time the playoffs are here he is a game changer opposite Allen
Walker has the ability to make game changing and game breaking plays. Hopefully we start to see those plays soon and there couldn't be a better time than if he made some of those tomorrow
Statistically Walker is right there with Hutch as a rusher and av much better run defender. I think end of next year is clear we took the right guy

Looking forward to seeing his progression further We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Walker 71 tackles Hutchinson 75 tackles but of course Hutchinson tackles are after the RB already gained 10 yards lol I am a fan, not a cheerleader. I think end of next year is clear we took the right guy 4.5 to 3.5 this year…. But keep the bias. Hutchinson was supposed to be a finished product coming out, Walker wasn’t. You’d think he’d be further ahead this year than one measley sack if he was superior. Hutch is a good run defender. Wallet is simply elite there already.
Travon has played better of late (excluding the Saints game). Still not a disruptive pass rusher but we have seen him use something other than a bull rush to get pressure. That is something I've hammered him on earlier this year because we hadn't seen it.

My memory is just fine. Yes he was pro ready and thats a good thing, thats what you want when you take a player 1st overall. You can be Pro ready and not be a finished product, thats usually what you take with the first couple picks especially if its not a QB. Hutch was far from a finished product. Teams aren't going to take a player that high if they feel hes a finished product, not to mention the consensus number 1 overall pick. You are the only one or one of the very few that thought he was a finished product. Eh doesn’t sound like it’s too good then. Lot of folks questioned if he had much room for develop in the league. They had the same questions about Manning. Turned out okay I’d think. |
