Jags might be taken off monday night football

Just win baby. That’s all I care about.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Relax, the Mannings do not do every MNF game. They have agreed to do the Jag one. They would need to agree as well. Royalty has spoken...

Maybe - maybe not.
We aren't privy to the guidelines that the NFL may or may not have to follow other than the timeline they must adhere to. It's a contract with the networks , so there will be some kind of fine print to be certain.

They have to give 12 days notice.

So - we'll know by Thursday night one way or the other.

Niners/eagles is the only "premier matchup" that week and it is one of only three 4pm games that day. They could easily leave it as is IMO.

Actually wouldn’t they have to make a call today? The team being flexed also has to have 12 day notice right? All the other games are Sunday.

I think you're right bc they would have to give the Sunday teams 12 days which is today. Even if it would make the game 13 days away for them, it would then be 12 away for us so it would make sense it has to come through today. Not worried, and can't wait for some Primetime coming up.

I selfishly want us off. I hate the late games when I got work the next day lol.

Oh I have to be in at 7am during the week so it sucks, but there's just something about Primetime. And I get to watch them on the big TV without the kids hounding me lol

I'd be a little surprised if they flex us out and I say that knowing full well they generally want no part of Jacksonville in prime time. They have learned to schedule our prime time games late in the season for a reason, to make sure they can in fact flex away from a bad Jacksonville team. But this is not a bad Jacksonville team and in fact has a bonafide future face of the league at QB.

Also, many parts of the country haven't seen a Jags game this year unless they got up early enough for the London games. Many on the west coast aside from those who got our game against SF, probably haven't seen the Jags at all this year. Lastly, the Bengals are still in the hunt despite losing Glass Joe for the remainder of the year.

Even if they lose to the fraudulent steelers this week, they'd be at worst 5-6 coming in. That's not an egregious enough record to flex away from when 7 teams in each conference make the playoffs each year. Burrow not being there hurts, sure, but there's really no legitimate reason to flex out of the game.

Good point.

I remember back in August/September as the league began getting all of their marketing out there to pump up reg season attendance and viewership, Trevor was featured pretty prominently in their montages of last year's action.

They may not be quite as averse to the Pederson/Lawrence iteration of the Jags as the Marrone/Bortles version. LOL

I don't worry about this anymore. Trevor is part of the "script" I don't think the league is going to intentionally hide him. I just think they expect us to roll them!

Anyway, time to close this one.
