Yep. Truly a head-scratching moment for Baalke. What is the upside here? Why? We have a QB that did OK as a backup, that's all you can ask from a guy like CJ. What does Mac even bring to the team that is worth a dime? A pick??! It's wild to me. This is why Baalke is a turd GM and always will be. He really needs to ht a grand slam with this draft or it's gonna get ugly around here.

Mac Jones has a career QBR rating higher than Trevors.

I'm not saying I want Mac to start over Trevor, because I feel Trevor has a higher ceiling.  But if everyone thinks Doug is one of the better offensive playcallers in the NFL...I'd expect that if Trevor were to get hurt there will no longer be an argument that the Jags can't win 3 games without him starting.

The QB room has just gotten a lot better and it only cost a 6th round pick.    Good move Baalke.

Last season people kept saying an injured Trevor was better than a healthy CJ. I kinda got why it was said, but I didn't agree.

There is no way we even have to worry about an injured Trevor being better than a healthy Mac Jones. He's not. Mac can start a few games...and with Doug calling the offense we should be able to win at least two if Trevor can't go.
Black Jaguar: Yeah, it's a thing.

It was always the Jags!!!!

Well I guess it’s the era of Ezra Cleveland and Mac Jones here in duval. Time to turn a new leaf and be happy with our FA class of 2

Well, other than the fact that Jones was a trade...

Sounds like we're one of three teams interested in Baltimore's LB, Patrick Queen.

I can understand that. We have so few LB's we probably need more.

Depends on the base defense and whether or not the team feels they've failed with Lloyd and/or looking to trade Oloukon.

We were probably just gonna draft a LB with another pick anyways.

No way the Jags can afford him.   Nice player, but Foye has his $$$.
Black Jaguar: Yeah, it's a thing.

Javon Kinlaw would be a nice addition...and probably less expensive than Christian Wilkins.

Can the Jags afford $10 million per for a DT?

I just don’t understand why we want Gabe he’s not even really a big body receiver and he’s so so. Has yet to record 1k yards in a season

Could be a good depth signing for the Texans, depending on the value of the one-year contract.  He played with Texans DC Matt Burke in 2021.

Doesn't he basically duplicate what Kirk does but less efficiently? He isn't really a contested catch guy or a true deep threat unless schemed open?

He's definitely good at being injured.

It fits Balkes interest in players with untapped potential

Definitely more of a speedy outside guy.

I’m very much against Gabe Davis.

I’m pro “trade up to top 8 for Rome Odunze”

Same. I’ve seen and heard all I need to regarding Gabe living in the Bills market. I want no part of him. But of course, we’ll sign him.
