I get that you wanna mix it up with Winger, but you can't seriously sit there and say that you're ok with inflation and the economy where it is. Yeah, "unwise spending"...how dare those Poors have a dinner out. Don't they know that gruel on the lunch break of their 3rd job is the only food they need? The bottom line is the the current regime is forcing Americans to empty their savings just to keep the standard of living they had just 4 years ago. Something's gotta give and when it does it will be ugly.

Everyone likes to mix it up with me

Trump's likely program is lots of deportation, some large tax cuts, lower interest rates, and slowing down the pace of student loan forgiveness, and reducing or eliminating aid to Ukraine.
The first three of these will cause more inflation. The latter two will reduce inflation, but not as much as the first three increase it.
He is not going to undo or pause the extra infrastructure spending Biden got going.

Only three things can reduce inflation at this point. Either large scale tax increases, large scale spending cuts, or large scale government investments in new production capacity such as factories, mines, mills, etc. None of those three things are on the table regardless of who wins, based on the proposals they've put on the table so far.

Inflation is going to sink Biden. But it shouldn't. Trump has no plan.

So you're voting for business as usual, because that worked out so well for the last 3 years and few months lololol

Inflation and the border crisis is what's going to sink Biden. Trump has no plan like back in 2016, right?

Trump got nothing done except a tax cut in his first term.  He came in with a healthy economy and low interest rates.  Immigration reduced because Trump seemed like a tough guy, not because of any substantial, actual change to border patrol policy or staffing or legal processes.  But deportations held steady.  Trump's impact on the economy was pretty small.

The economy doesn't factor in to my decision to vote Biden. But it's going to factor into a lot of folks' decisions to not vote. Biden is likely to lose.

Perhaps I want more of the same, without the annoying aspects that our far right Dems bring to the table.

To be honest, I'm more interested in Nvidia's Earnings Call today than I am with the election.   If Trump ends of winning, so be it.  At least we get free entertainment for the next 4 years --- Biden's kind of boring and I could not be any less interested in the Trump Hush Money Trial that CNN is featuring 24/7.  Thank God for BBC.

So, what do you think of NVDA's earnings call?

Beats all around and a stock split of 10:1 --- Jensen Huang never disappoints.   This has a direct impact of the entire NASDAQ and Semiconductor ETFs which is a win across the technology industry.

Yes.  NVDIA and NASDAQ & Semiconductors, which is all tied together.

First off, 7% interest is not all that crazy.  Back in the late '80's it was 18% and when we bought our house it was 6.75% which was a real bargain.

People eat out more than ever and when they don't they do UberEats, meaning they pay someone $5+ to get their restaurant food delivered.

Beer & Mixed Drinks.  Don't get me started on $7 beers, $8+wines, and $10+ single pours being the norm.

...... OH, do we want to get into kids living in 1br apts because they don't want to share a group living arrangement.

The majority of people simply aren't willing to cut back !!!

All accurate in my experience.
Always had roommates until I was married and when I got married we had a 2 bed apt. So financially that was like having a roommate.
We rarely went out.  If we did it was for pizza, wings, and beer.  We knew there was better food but we were trying to save money and weren't ashamed of it.
And I see my younger cousins and her younger cousins enjoying 1 bed, going out every night to trendy bars with unique cocktails, Disney annual pass type lifestyles.
Although I will say, they aren't complaining about prices being too high.  They know they could make better choices and plan for the future but they just don't want to.  I'm the one complaining about the high prices, not them.
