If true, then that would be correct justice.  However, look at the judge in this case.

If true, that would be the worst-case scenario for Trump.

How so?  Possibly be more time in court rather than on the campaign?

A mistrial would probably be left as it is. This trial was a was a huge expense for the city. I don’t think they want to shell out that much money again.

It’s a valid question.

The payoff to Stormy Daniels wasn't illegal, just like paying off Paula Jones wasn't illegal.  That wasn't what he was charged with.

Did paying off Paula Jones affect the outcome of an election?

You could argue it helped Hillary's Senate campaign or Gore's Presidential campaign.  But that's pretty thin considering both were two years in the future.
And there's also the fact that a judge reviewed all aspects of Clinton's agreement to pay Jones before the payment was made.
But this does show how tenuous Bragg's legal theory was.

Clinton's payoff was to settle a lawsuit.  It was public, and legal.  And besides, he wasn't running for office at the time.  He was in the middle of his second term.

Trump's payment was secret.  And he falsified business records to cover it up.  That's the crime.  Allegedly.  And that's the big difference between the two.

Not "allegedly"

He's been found guilty by unanimous jury decision.

Paula Jones has a nice rack. My Dad had her Playboy magazine back in the day. I remember finding it funny looking at her rack while reading about her fling with Clinton as a kid.

That's actually not what he's charged with, but ok.

You know that's going out the window on appeal. Enjoy the gloating while you can, it certainly won't last long.

Yes, that is true, but I am not sure I would have brought that charge.  It's a real stretch, the way Bragg turned misdemeanors into felonies.

Irrelevant. As long as we’ve prosecuted a political opponent we don’t personally like, it’s mission success.

AmIright?
