Anyhow, I'll help remediate you.  When the American Revolution started, the majority in Parliament, consisting of 343 men, all thought the colonies must remain with Britain. The minority was 215 men and many of them also opposed American independence.  Then you have the continental Congress, that little tiddlywink organization was only 13 men! So there were definitely a lot more people who thought independence was a bad idea.  Good thing what's popular is not always right!
