The USPS.

I ordered some parts to repair my skid steer a couple of weeks ago.  Following the tracking, they went from Illinois to Orlando, Fl regional center.  From there they went to Jacksonville, Fl regional center where they sat over a week (they arrived in Jacksonville 6/4/2024 awaiting transfer to the next facility).  I check the tracking update this morning and they arrived in Carolina, PR (Puerto Rico) yesterday.

Meanwhile I have a machine that I can't use sitting at my mechanic's shop.

[BLEEP], $1100 alcoholic beverage packages for Royal Caribbean, for two adults, for a 7 day trip. No way am I paying that. Then they want more money for Refreshment Beverage packages. I did the prepaid gratuities at least. But, man, these fees are nuts. It's an arm and a leg just to get on the damn cruise ticket wise. 2 Adults + 1 Kid is $3,100.

Sheesh.

Yeah I'd never drink enough for that to be worth it.  Depending on how much you plan on drinking, I'd just pay as you go or if they still let you bring multipacks of water bottles on with you (I haven't been on a cruise in the last 10 years), I used to remove the bottles and replace the water in the bottles in the middle of the pack with clear liquor, vodka and/or rum and then pack the bottles back in as if they hadn't been disturbed with legit unopened water bottles all the way around.  They're gonna have to tear your water pack open to catch you assuming they still let you bring those packs on with you.  I'd still buy drinks at the bar, but I'd supplement by going back to the room occasionally to make my own drink.

Yeah I just plan on having a three drink maximum on the two days we're at sea. We're going to end up bringing a few bottles of wine as permitted and we'll probably look at one drink package where you get a specific bottle of gin, tequila or bourbon and they give you mixers for it.

Just depends on pricing. I don't plan on getting wasted though with a four year old with us. Have to keep an eye out for him. It's his first cruise and it's just my second cruise and it's been twelve years since I went on one when me and my wife were first dating.

They let you bring metal water bottles onboard. I'll just bring my 64 ounce Yeti with us, refill it at that Windbar place for free. If I get any deals it'll be the Refreshment Package. Which isn't too gaudy price wise. That at least ensures sodas, juices and waters unlimited for everybody.

At $8 per drink, that would be 20 drinks per day for 7 straight days.  You'd wind up in the hospital.

I took my mom on an Alaskan cruise last September. I didn’t buy the booze package because I’d probably push the old heifer overboard if I got even the slightest bit tipsy! (Just kidding) But the drinks I did end up buying were any indication of the strength of the rest of their drinks, I’d have needed all $1100 bucks to have gotten any kind of a decent buzz on!

Click bait.

"Today Fans are Heartbroken as Al Roker Announces Devastating Personal News"

So I clicked on it.  And what was this "devastating personal news" that left Today fans "heartbroken?"

His dog died.

When folks on Amazon review a Kindle or a Fitbit and complain they don't have the same qualities or features as an iPad or an Apple watch. No [BLEEP], Sherlock. They give one star reviews by comparing to similar things that are obviously superior.

I'm watching the 24 hours of Le Mans and instead of posting the leaderboard in clear-to-read text, they use tiny icons of manufacturer logos to denote the field. I can make out Toyota and Ferrari, but that's about it — and I have a 70" TV. It's ridiculous.

YouTube commercials that begin with "This is something Home Depot hates when you do it, but they can't stop you. Here's what it is..."

Do people really still fall for that line?

They can go [BLEEP] themselves.

Flew Delta out of NYC into JAX once and had a nice flight.  So did my bags, but their plane went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  It was a full WEEK before they found their way back to Jacksonville.

Sounds like a pretty deep hole.

anytime you see a clickbaity title, just open google, type in the subject of the headline and you'll see the news.

Bonus, you don't give the teaser site a clickthrough.

Yep.  I clicked on it.  Not only did I find out that this devastating tragedy that left his fans heartbroken was that his dog died, I also found out the dog was 12 years old.  The dog died of old age.
