If you want to tell a roughly 40 year old man he's not old enough to understand something, you do you.

I am not saying anything about the 2020 election was the same as military voting in 1984.  But neither was 2016, 2012, 2008, or 2004.  In all of those elections, there was no excuse mail in voting in most states.

I don't know how the security compared to 1980s military voting.  But I do know there was no big stink about it!

It is a simple question, was there the same scrutiny in 2020 as myself and everyone serving in the 80’s?  Yes or no?

I already told you I don't know.
My turn.
Was the security procedure to verify a mail in ballots in 2020 largely the same as the 2016 election?

1.  Should it be?

2.  I cannot say with all certainty however in 2016 they were not mass mailing unrequested ballots.

Aren't we here to do exactly that?  Or would it be better if we all agree on everything?

Some arguing is fruitful, arguing with Mikesez is like trying to nail jello to the wall.

Is mass mailing unrequested ballots somehow less secure that only sending ballots to people who requested them?  Either way, each ballot has unique identifying marks on itself and its outer envelope, right?

Yes, it is. Real ballots should never be in general circulation, they should only be well controlled in absentee voting .You know this is ripe for fraud as we saw in 2020 so quit playing this fool's game.

You didn’t answer my question but seeing your question you don’t believe so.  Again remove the appearance of fraud and there is no issue.  Why do you democrats insist on less secure elections?

If I'm being frank, I feel MOST obliged to post if I think other people are getting something wrong or don't understand a concept, so I attempt to explain it. I also come here to see what other people think about a topic. This board, for me, represents an honest view of moderates that I need to adjust my world view. I also get a good range of conservative opinions on a topic, which I also find useful. Lastly (and I only put this last because I try my best to be accurate), I want my ideas to be challenged when they are wrong. There are occasions when people point out a flaw in my thinking or my rationale that forces me to change my position. FSG has done it a couple times. Mikey has done it a few times. NYC has done it a few times, too. We need others to correct our blind spots.

Mikey is here for his amusement first and foremost. It's why he makes the occasional alt account. It's why he moves the goal posts. It's why he expects you to do the heavy lifting in a debate. At best, it's a game... an intellectual exercise. At worst, he's a troll. If he wants to troll, good for him. You gotta do what you gotta do to get through the day. I just don't think well intentioned posters should be engaging with him. It's a waste of their time unless they are also in the troll game.

As a person, I like Mikey. He's naive. He's a dreamer. That's good. As a poster, he's here for his amusement. Truth is secondary. He's a true sophist in the worst sense of the word. Long story short, we don't visit this forum for the same reason.

Nah, they want you to believe that the least secure election was actually the most secure. Accept the lie, as Orwell foretold.

I appreciate you writing this, and I appreciate you as a poster, but I have never made an alt account.

I do find most of this amusing.  Sometimes it's frustrating too though.  Because I am sincere here.  More sincere than you think.  It wouldn't be frustrating if I was just here to goof off.

And what you call moving the goal posts, is usually not intended as such.  It's a newer technique for me.  Instead of laying out my entire argument at once, I try to be more engaging and get some of your points and facts into the mix along the way, but in my mind the goal never changed.

The Democrats are falling because they're forced to sleep in the DEI bed they made. At least Pelosi recognizes it and is attempting a tact to keep Kackala off the ticket.

The goal is also to learn and to teach and to refine arguments.  Even though that happens much less often than the entertainment.

Yeah Pelosi wouldn't be saying this if she thought Kamala was their best chance to win.

1st, I told you what the requirements were.  Scroll up.

2nd, I did answer the question.  FSG also answered the question.  For your sake I will add a caveat.  The DNC took full advantage of covid, some states even went so far as to change voting laws.  Good for them, they saw an opportunity and took full advantage of it.  There were and are a lot of holes in what they pushed through.  I as a Libertarian want those holes plugged.  Mail in voting with mass unrequested ballots is ripe for abuse.  You full well know this and if you were sincere you too would want those holes plugged.

You can have the last response, I believe I am done here and can add nothing more.

Serious Question: Do you actually believe a word or have any faith in that lying old fossil Pelosi?

No one lies all the time.  It's not possible. Everybody tells the truth at least some of the time
