My wife was watching the peacock documentary about Jan 6 conspiracy theories and they had one of the participants being interviewed as she prepared for her trial. She just straight up volunteered "Trump said go home around 3:30 so we did."

So, you're saying that a violent insurrection was threatening to topple the government, ending democracy and plunging the country into anarchy and chaos, but Trump stopped it with a single tweet? The man's a hero! How should we commemorate his astounding accomplishment? A stamp with the bloody ear fist-pump? Reinstate the thousand-dollar bill with his image?

When Trump was elected violent protests were organized and paid for by a democratic supporter that lasted over a week. Heck they even paid people. They paid mileage on top to if you had a car to transport others to protest. Interstates were blocked, cars burned, businesses ransacked, people assaulted etc. Nice try what happened in 2016 was a lot worse. So the democratic party insurrection of 2016 was far worse.

What should we call the guy who started the violent insurrection though? And what should we call the guy who waited three hours before letting Trump have his phone so he could tweet that heroic message?

Vague tweets? Possibly misinterpreted? Hey, we're making progress! Just a couple months ago those tweets were clear and specific instructions (in secret code, of course) to stay and fight. Maybe there is hope for you after all.

Poor leadership. I've never denied that. That does not however, make him guilty of leading, or participating at any level, in an effort to overthrow the government, which has been your claim for years. It's encouraging to see you finally recognize and admit the difference.
