If there is something wrong with an argument, explain.  
"That's naive" is not an explanation.  "That's naive because tariffs won't actually bring down prices" is an explanation.
"That's illogical" is not an explanation. "That's illogical because not all blacks are Democrats" is an explanation.
"That's off topic" doesn't need an explanation, but it's too dismissive.  A better person would say, "how is that relevant?" Just because it seems off topic doesn't mean it is.

I don't agree with reporting names and addresses to the Sheriff's office. This is literally voter intimidation which illegal and it's not right. You want to ship illegals to a blue city or to a politician's office building, fine. What this sheriff says to do? Absolutely not.
