Imagine if Elon Musk and his DOGE group manages to whittle down the size of the federal government.
"Hi, Linda McMahon, I have nominated you for Secretary of Education, and by the way, we're eliminating the Department of Education."
LPGA's Charley Hull did Trump Dance at The Annika: 'I love Trump. I think he's brilliant'
When Charley Hull broke out into a Trump Dance Sunday during the final round of The Annika, she was paying tribute to a man she calls "brilliant" and a "legend."... She needs to apologize and have her tour card pulled. -- The American and UK left (11-23-2024, 11:53 AM)mikesez Wrote: See, I don't watch TV news and I don't think TDS is a real thing. We do and you have it........bad! No, the country never admitted anything was "ok". The voters, especially swing voters, decided it was better to go with Trump, despite his flaws, than to follow the walking zombie and cackling idiot over a cliff. The policies of the Left over the last four years are what drove so many to Trump.

A lot of it was the way Biden ran for President as a moderate, and governed as a leftist. Plus all the DEI and woke stuff that dominated the Democratic Party. But I do agree with Mike that there isn't any such thing as TDS. People detest Trump for very good reasons. They are not deranged. We show less advertisements to registered users. You can't blame Biden for that. The Republicans who decided not to participate in the primary (more than half stayed home during the primaries) tacitly supported everything I listed also. If they didn't agree with Trump they would have voted for a different Republican candidate.

Right before that I said, "Contrarian just means "inclined to go against popular opinion."" By that definition, a lot of people are contrarians. If you hear about some new thing, and the first thing you learn about it is it's popular, is your first instinct to trust it or to distrust it? Most young people trust that, and most people over 30 distrust. Anyhow a more specific, and useful definition of Contrarian is "someone who argues for the sake of arguing, making points they don't really believe just to stir things up or upset the other person." That's not me. Everything I've said, that wasn't a joke, I believe.

What "very good reasons" has Trump given people to provoke such emotional reactions? People with TDS can't listen to ANY criticism of Biden and/or Harris, without launching an attack on Trump. Mikesez has been doing it for years and he's a classic example.

I don't want to be drawn into another discussion about why I detest Donald Trump. But I will say that one of the biggest reasons is the incredible volume of lies that spew out of his mouth. I don't like someone who will go on TV and tell lie after lie after lie. Starting with the Obama birth certificate lie and continuing with the election being stolen lie and ten thousand verifiable lies in between. A lot of politicians will insult my intelligence, and all politicians will lie, but I am flabbergasted at the volume of lies that come from Trump's mouth.

Look at the "harris explains inflation" thread. I had nothing nice to say about Biden or Harris.
