What really sucks is when you're buying appliances and limited to very specific dimensions unless you want to spend $$$$ and do a complete renovation just to buy a fridge or washer/dryer. And living in a small town with limited options is also lovely. I have to see what I'm buying in person.
Anyway, we've had to buy both in the last 3 years and it was a pain in the [BLEEP]. The fridge had to be a freezer on the bottom model and white, I wasn't budging on that, but otherwise I didn't care. I hate stainless steel appliances and hubby has a bad back so fridge on top is saving on chiropractor bills. We found one that met color, model and dimensions but we think it's bipolar or in perpetual menopause because the temperature swings are unexplainable, even to the manufacturer. Something we didn't know until after the fact. Long story short on that one is we just deal with it. We have a warranty but according to customer reviews of the same problem it's a hopeless situation. I could go on and on about the washer/dryer we had to get a few months ago and window AC we bought in the spring for a room that doesn't get much ventilation from the HVAC system, but I won't. I ordered something online last week. It shipped from Minneapolis on the 26th. It was at the Jacksonville USPS distribution center on the 30th. It's now in Portland, Oregon. It's going to need a passport at this rate.

What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Where we live I can mail a card to my mom who lives at the opposite end of the county it goes from my PO in Moore County to Charlotte and then back to Moore County.
There are times when Amazon can't deliver something to our house in two days (more like 6-7) but they can deliver it to my mom's and/or my FIL's house in two days. I've actually had something shipped there and I get it from them at church.

I live in riverside and my dad lives in the 32244 zip code near the county line between Duval and Clay. I order stuff delivered to his place for him all the time. There will be a two day delay in stuff getting it at his house compared to mine. We aren’t even 10 miles apart. That’s so strange to me.

I was in need of Ga Tech tableware for my son's HS Graduation party so I called them in effort to hopefully order the items and simply get them at the warehouse or perhaps our local store at the Avenues Mall a few miles away. They informed me that the order would need to be shipped to Orlando and then back to my local Jacksonville USPS location and then be delivered via US Mail carrier, which in total takes ~ 2 weeks. It all worked out but found the logistics and expense associated with shipping (paid by Fanatics) totally unnecessary.
Christmas tree is up.
Frazier Fir because Wife. Did I mention I'm allergic and this is now officially 5 weeks of sinus hell? “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Yeah, by the time I got done setting the tree and stringing lights, I was spent. My job is now going behind the kids and unclustering ornaments, they put everything in like 4 spots around the tree.
1. My son set up our tree this year. Its only a foot tall. Our cat won't stay out of the big one. Last year he knocked the whole tree over, it ripped down the curtains when it fell.
2. Cats and being declawed. When getting this cat, I planned on having him declawed. After doing a little research I found that they actually cut the cats first knuckle off. Seemed kinda inhumane to me. (must be my old age kicking in, in my younger years I wouldn't have given a [BLEEP]. Honestly I don't even like cats, I'm a dog person) But now I pay the price of a cat that has claws. Can't really play with him because he plays too rough and will shred you to pieces, almost all my curtains have been torn down from him climbing to the top, add in hes bipolar as hell. Never been a cat person, I just gave in to my son. I figured one cat couldn't be that bad. Well now he wants nothing to do with anyone besides me, no petting or holding by anyone else. Somehow I've become his "person". He just wants to sit on my lap and me pet him. Hes super nice and will stay around everyone, he just doesn't want to be touched.

People who arbitrarily use the words "kind of" and "basically". Especially when it detracts from the meaning of the statement.
"What you want to do is install this particular part kind of precisely in this position." "Basically, you need to do exactly this." Don't get me started on "you know". Isn't telling someone to copy an action exactly a basically simple instruction?
