It's only $500 million a year. Could easily make that back.

"Reality is invented for you by people who design it like a choreography; there's definitely an office somewhere in Washington, with people you've never heard of, that designs reality.
It's not just about what will be the next event to come up but rather what will be the interpretation of a given international event.
And this must be distributed everywhere through the media, without anyone asking questions about it."

Heard on the radio from firefighters:

“The hydrants are down”

“Water supply just dropped”

Firefighters are running out of water in Los Angeles.

Rick Caruso, who unsuccessfully ran for mayor in 2022, says it’s because of mismanagement and old infrastructure.

People Abandon Cars As They Flee Palisades Fire In Southern California
Fire crews used a bulldozer to move vehicles out of the way.

People ditched their cars on the road and kept moving on foot as they escaped the wind-fueled wildfire in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday that engulfed the Los Angeles neighborhood and prompted officials to order thousands of residents to evacuate, making for apocalyptic scenes in images shown on news reports and across social media.

CBS News reported that authorities told drivers to leave their cars behind as Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) was shut down in the Malibu area. The news outlet also noted that all lanes of Topanga Canyon Boulevard were closed as the wildfire grew in size and, on part of Sunset Boulevard, drivers were told to leave their cars and move on foot as the blaze approached.

With Fires Tearing Through LA, Critics Blast Fire Chief's Stated Priority

With uncontrolled fires raging across Los Angeles as strong winds sweep the area, critics are taking note of who’s in charge and what her stated priorities have been leading up to the massive blaze.

A website for the Los Angeles Fire Department touts Kristin Crowley’s diversity credentials as the first female and LGBTQ fire chief in the LAFD.

“Creating, supporting, and promoting a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and equity while striving to meet and exceed the expectations of the communities are Chief Crowley’s priorities, and she is grateful for the opportunity to serve the City of Los Angeles,” her bio concludes.

This is misinformation.
The smelt are a Northern California problem.  The water set aside for the smelt comes from the west face of the Sierra Nevada mountains and eventually flows out San Francisco Bay.
The fire is in the LA area, that gets its water from the Colorado River and points east of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Most of this water is divvy'd up by the Colorado interstate compact.  Neither Gavin Newsome nor Karen Bass have much control over it.
All Trump has to do is wait for a fire to actually start in the San Francisco Bay watershed.  He's revealing his cards before it's time to play them.
As usual.

Its not misinformation that clearing ANY underbrush was prohibited by California law so the various types of insects could be protected and fines were levied on citizens that failed to comply and cleared them anyway. That the Mayor knew 2 weeks in advance that conditions were ripe for this sort of event and chose to attend a presidential inaguration in Ghana, which im guessing is not high on the list of mayoral job duties. Bad leadership optics if nothing else. Imagine DeSantis going to Switzerland while a Cat 5 hurricane bears down on Florida. Just aint happening. Just more misplaced Dem priorites. You get what you vote for.

The federal program that gives California money for controlled burns has been used for "other " purposes for many years. (illegals) Besides their EPA didn't want the pollution from controlled burns. I wonder how that is working out for them now?

Those are all valid arguments, but the President elect didn't make any of them!
